Personally, I don't really see how Maddox is one to call Bloggers pretentious when he is just as much guilty of being sanctimonious; which, IMO, is far worse. I just do not see how Maddox can attack Bloggers when his own website fails to surmount to anything above that of a glorified Blog or similar personal site. I would say this fact makes Maddox even more of an egotistical asshole than the very Bloggers he criticizes.

Yeah, but it's meant sarcastic I think. At the bottom of every 'article' (or posting, whatever) it says "Back to how much I rule". So you don't need to take everything so seriously.

Anyway, this part was my favorite:

Maddox hasn't put up something decent for a while now, IMO; he's gotten way too petty and takes himself too seriously. I said this back in the thread about his Star Wars review, but I think he was a lot funnier when he was making outlandish criticisms that were so ridiculous you couldn't really tell what was serious and what wasn't. These new pieces are so transparent...like a bad episode of South Park.

I think the term 'pretentious' is tossed around on the Internet so much by some that it has almost lost its meaning. Essentially it seems slapped on anyone who does/says something you don't agree with or don't see the point of or feel threatened by. And those throwing it about are, usually, hypocrites; doing something themselves which wouldn't measure up by the standards they profess to hold. Which btw, is one actual definition of pretention! Asserting a position of distinction, merit, authority, that is unjustified.
