New Mizuguchi interview

TM: Not yet. I watched the news, so I knew about the concept of the Revolution controller, but I haven't touched it yet.

:'(

FB: It's got the hard disk over here [ín Japan], but in Europe and the US they sell 'em without the hard disk as well, so not everybody has a hard disk.

TM: Oh, really?

LOL! I really can't see that response without thinking of the owl

TM: Well, that article... it was not only sexual. She mentioned about the future possibilities about the game experience. So in that way she's very smart and forward-thinking. That was such a nice article. Games have big possibilities for every possible direction, so that's the sort of spirit I want to see in interactive entertainment.

what a nice thing to say about Jane :)

He didn't know MS offered the core pack in North America and Europe? Needs to get a pesonal assistant to keep him in the loop!

Regarding N3, I hope the story for each character is very good and the game is long, because there are only 7 playable characters.

Every Extend Extra should be fantastic. To me, music soundtrack is almost as important as the gameplay. Sets the mood for the entire game. Glad to see a person in the industry with this same focus! I never bought Rez, but if it comes to PSP I'm grabbing it.

i think most creative developers you speak with are going to respect nintendo's business decisions in regards to the revolution...but that does not mean it will be monetarily feasible - nay - WORTH the time of the developer or the time/money of their parent companies and/or publishers.

smell me?

at the end of the day this is a business. I’m sure every developer would love to work on a revolution idea. cheers to a few of them in fact making that happen.

Only when you read interviews like this do you realise why Itagki is a breath of fresh air among Japanese developers. Honestly, what a useless interview, could Mizuguchi be any less forthcoming?

Really nice interview, and the stuff about the REZ trance vibrator's other "uses" was great! I always wonder if these developers get to see some of the crazy stuff the community does after their games are released, and so rarely do interviewers take the time to ask them about it/and or show them. Although in this case I'm glad Fishie didn't try to show him the other "uses" people had found for the trance vibrator... though that might have made for a VERY interesting article/interview.

I love every one of Mizuguchi's interviews. Everything he says fits exactly with my own ideas of gaming and where it's going.

I think they did:

FB: Well, there's a pretty famous website (Gamegirl Advance, where the girl who reviewed it used the vibrator for... less wholesome purposes) where a girl bought that and...

TM: ... yeah, I know!! (laughs)

FB: You know that! (laughs) Probably it wasn't your intention with the device, was it?

TM: That was unexpected. (laughs)

FB: (laughs)

TM: That was great... that was great. (laughs) I didn't really expect that, so when I read that article, I was screaming: ''yaaaaaay!'' (laughs) ''She's cool.''

FB: Problem is, she probably lost interest in the game halfway through...
