New Saros trailer highlights PS5 features

Yep thats returnal. The boss footage literally looks like the second fight in returnal. I just hope it lives up to the first game.

Looks dope,

Returnal already looked excellent, and this looks like they took it up a notch. Not a day one for me but probably an eventually.

Are those Sony headphones good? Seems like they're awesome for this type of game. I am on the lookout for new headphones for sure, if they are even worth getting because sometimes my daughter calls us in the middle of the night so I would need one headphone off my ear a bit.

I'm kind of wait and see. I haven't finished the first returnal , because I hit a skill gap that I can't personally pass. I can't git gud… and move forward.

Im using Pulse elite, fantastic sound and the integration with PS5 UI and Edge controller is amazing.

I have the Pulse 3d headphones that came out with the PS5. They're pretty okay. Not the most comfortable things in the world and the cover is peeling off the ear cups. For the price you could do a lot better honestly. No clue if the Pulse 3d Elites are any better.

Returnal has RT reflections on PC. Would be cool if they added them to the Pro for this game.

Are they comfortable? I am worried by head feels too hot or it's too heavy on my ears. Ruins the whole experience. For context, I was using the Hyper x clouds which were like pillows but they were wired headphones. I sort of want wireless.

I like the gameplay but sadly Returnal was too random for me.

I was getting frustrated when I had to restart a run because of missing an important item. And starting everytime with the same shitty weapon really sucked.

Maybe with the release of Saros, Returnal will finally go down in price and i can snag that for around 20 bucks.

This is more streamlined, you don't start from the beginning every time and there is a more robust progression between runs.

The sound is OK but...they break easily and always at the same spot.

It's both planned obsolescence, QC being shit and Sony not giving 2 fooks

does anyone else not care about games like this ,i want story charcaters ,not random crap coming at me and its ''good'gameplay. these kind of games dont do it for me.

Yep! Mine broke on the left headband. Right above the ear. Got pissed, then bought another one lol. Now when I take it off, I treat the headset like it's a newborn baby.
never, ever ever buy headsets or headphones from Sony.

It's been the same shit since the PS3 headsets, they ALWAYS break at the fucking band, heck, even the XM5's, a 400+ Eurodollars BT headphones, break at the hinges of the cups (a known fault with this model and also previous ones).

Again, fuck Sony and their horrible QC, no one can convince me that they don't do it on purpose at this point..

They definitely made the best use of the controller with Returnal, but it truly killed battery life even after I routed controller audio through headphones, lowered haptics, and turned off the adaptive triggers to save my joints.

Returnal had exceptional sound design, like some of the best shit out there. Same with haptics. Housemarque are really good at polishing the "basics" to a sheen to where even the simplest things like a jump feel satisfying.

Saros isn't hitting the spot like Returnal did for me in terms of art direction and the character but if there's one thing that's certain is that HM know wtf they're doing in those departments.

I've used them for extended play sessions, and they've been fine for my needs. They're lightweight, though I do wish the ear cushions were softer. They can also connect to your phone simultaneously while you're playing, so you don't have to take them off to answer calls.

There's cheap replacement cups on Aliexpress, I swapped mine long ago and the new ones are more durable. Don't go out there and replace the entire headset for a new one if it's just the cups!

I am against paying more for early access, but yes, I will pay the extra $10 to get it two days early. And take off of work.

Loved Returnal, sits next to Demon's Souls and Elden Ring as one of the best games on PS5 IMO. Hopefully Amazon doesn't pull the same delayed shipping non-sense they did with my copy of RE9.

Returnal turned people off for a few reasons that Saros looks to avoid. Excited.

I only like this genre if the persistent upgrades are plentiful and are properly distributed. Story pacing is equally important. It's a very tight balance. While the gameplay was perfect I'm not sure the pacing/upgrade balance was perfectly distributed in the first game. That is more important than the gameplay in a roguelite. If it ever feels like I'm banging my head against a wall I'll quit and that will be the end of that game so pacing is super important.

Roguelites are the single player version of extraction shooters. The audience is limited going in BUT it can have mass appeal it just needs to be, ya know, properly paced.
