Floor Teleportation Confirmed!

Atleast I think I spotted it in like two places one of them was about 5:30 into the trailer.
The trailer is almost 8 minutes long and does show off the different modes and lots of neat create-a-characters.

I know this is a minor announcement amid all the Next-Gen stuff, but I posted it anyway.

Yeah the soul squash/coin collector type stuff really looked gimicky, but it might be fun.
I won't knock it til I try it. It might be another way to unlock costumes and stuff so it could offer a break to the real action.

I hate Namco couldn't fix the teleporting floor stuff, but the game looks so damned hot I just don't even care.

Wow, that was fantastic!!

With all the PS3 talk it's easy to forget how much ass the PS2 is going to kick this fall. SC3 looks so stack full of goodies, it's insane!!

SC 3 looks amazing. Soul Arena mode looks like a lot of fun. Lots of different modes. Soul Squash seems incredibly amusing. The lack of an online mode isn't that much of a knock against the game because it does have plenty of other modes to compensate for that.

I should have explained that since it's a slang term someone came up with to explain it.

You know how in Tekken 5 when you throw an opponent to the floor and the ground breaks or cracks? Well, the damage to the floor stays there until you throw the opponent down in a different area, then the damage effect dissapears from the previous area and shows up in the new area. It looks kind of cheap and gives the impression of the damage teleporting across the floor. I, and other people were kinda hoping that would go away. But after seeing the new trailer, I just don't care. This game looks so hot, I'm going Ninja style on this game when we are finally alone.

I hope that made sense, I'm sleepy, just watched more MGS footage and finished off an entire pack of gummi worms, so my brain is only functioning at like 33% of the final hardware.

It sucks that they used such a shitty effect again in a fighter, but refering to it as "floor teleportation" is needlessly confusing. I was assuming you meant some glitch one could exploit to move their character out of a bad situation.

Call it "Stupid Tekken 5 Floor Damage" instead.


I'm revamping my Soul series stick in preperation for the game... as if I'll ever play a decent person more than once a damn year.
