808 - Turd and Douche

Tempers flare and ideologies are tested when the kids of "South Park" are forced to choose a new school mascot in an all-new episode premiering Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.

PETA demonstrates against the use of a cow as South Park Elementary’s mascot and the student body is forced to choose a new one. Cartman and Kyle come up with opposing ideas and try to encourage kids to get out and vote. As the election approaches, Kyle tries to convince everyone that his candidate, a giant douche, is better than Cartman’s nominee, a turd sandwich.

Drawn Together tried WAY WAY WAY WAY too hard. In fact, I found it more disturbing than funny most of the time. Yeah, I don't like some of that stuff, either, but the way it was portrayed just made me feel kind of....horrible watching it. Even from a pure comedy timing standpoint it was crap. None of the jokes "stuck" at all and it was just retarded in general.

Precisely. It tried WAY too hard to be an Adult Swim show imo, and failed miserably. You can see some potential here and there, but as a whole it was just shitty.

The first episode of The Simpsons is a chore to sit through, with the animation, pacing and everything.

For a first episode, I thought it was pretty good and I look forward to seeing how it goes.

I actually like the parody stuff concerning reality shows they had on Drawn Together. Like a ballroom, what the fuck? That's the stupid sort of indulgent kitsch that reality shows always have, thus I giggled when I saw it. I enjoyed it. The toots characters is great.

They said that the seventh episode (of eight ordered) was quarrentined by CC because of questionable material. One of the creators said that "a superhero has a tragic accident" and the episode might not be shown because of "bad timing." Use your imagination.
