Think of them as a movie company that does R-rated movies or a television writer like Aaron Sorkin, who develops adult tv shows (SportsNight, West Wing, etc).

While some devs do "OMG M4TUR3" for the sake of it (hello BMX XXX), Rockstar targets the rapidly growing adult gamer market with adult-themed games.

See the difference between shows like Drawn Together and NYPD Blue.

:lol He's not my boy, but he's not a bad artist. And he's had pretty good success with his last two albums internationally. Plus he had Trailer Park Boy's Bubbles in one of his videos, so that fact alone means he rules.

And how is Rockstar making too many drug games? How about the 8 million RPG's we've been subjected to the last twenty years that all deal with that same "running through the countryside, sneaking through the woods, slaying the dragon all the while fighting off two girls that want me for no reason!!" theme? Why not tell Naughty Dog to quit making platformers as well? Or tell Polyphony to not making racing games? Just stupid.
