Nexon becomes largest shareholder of NCSoft, buys out close to $700 million of shares

what percentage of the company do they own?

14.2%, which is more than any other shareholder. They might be attempting a takeover of the company, since they have been looking to acquire more companies.

They recently tried a hostile takeover of Gamania and are being investigated by the FTC because of it.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!! >.< after experiencing playing dragon nest , I have no fate in this company.
It was full of bots and gold farmers and they were doing almost anything to fix this. Dragon nest is free2play but you have to buy a lot of things to make it at least playable(you have to buy a lot of storage slots) .(well this was when it launched , I don't know the state of the game right now but I think it is the same

they should use some money to fix the terrible lag in at least one of their games, a game where a big update is coming this month

>_>

Maplestory sucks!

(that's the only Nexon game I wasted my life on played).

I'm guessing that's the game that made them quite rich. The people who get hooked in spend unbelievable amounts of cash on a "free to play" game, far exceeding what people play for traditional monthly-payment games like WoW.

The most amazing part imo is that MS is a completely shitty game.

My mind isnt up to date. How much money is being made in the f2p market in asia? Because this "685 million = 14 percent" puchase reality is astounding.
