But I find it strange that many games also appear for the PS4. Not bad with Demon's Souls, the game is basically a PS3 game, and I don't find that bad with Spiderman MM either, but I don't find that good with Horizon, because I expected the game to really exhaust the PS5 hardware . As it is, the basic structure of the game is just a PS4 game.

Demon's souls is PS5 only, the only cross gen games are MM and HZD (and that sackboy game no one cares about)

Now to get lucky with a PS5 preorder. I still cant decide between disc and digital. I have a gaming PC so I am use to all digital but the PS store deals versus physical is still lacking imo.

If you can't decide between both, take the disc one.

In the end both, XBox and Playstation are using exactly the same pricing most sane people expected as the "most likely" one. Not more, not less.

I'm massively disappointed this year, been nothing but lies, delays, £80 games, cross gen games from both ms and sony

Only up side is the 3000 series cards, more dlss 2.0 support and quest 2 making vr potentially more mainstream

The show last night was good.... not great. As someone else said earlier, it felt a bit like Part 2 of a previous show. Still, there was a lot of gameplay: Spider Man and Harry Potter looked nice, but some of the other items like FF, Deathloop and COD didn't do much for me. Demon's Souls was far and away the standout though; it looked absolutely superb. My dilemma is whether to get Demon's Souls at launch. I'm not sure if I want my first experience of PS5 to be one of pain and misery.

After the show, the communication about pre-orders was an absolute shambles. Some vague Tweet from Sony, and then nothing else. I managed to get a pre-order in the UK from Game, but only because I happened to see the tweet that Heisenberg posted last night. I'm pleased I got the pre-order but it's left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth after the mostly-great show.

I am surprised you thought that, I though Demon Souls looked boring. Walk for a bit, slash an enemy, walk for a bit more, slash another enemy. Maybe I am missing something (which is very possible).

Windows Central created actual 3D models to compare. When looking at it like that I think it's astounding how much better Microsoft engineered this console. Ever since the reveal of the original Xbox One, they really turned their engineering around.

But now that we know that a lot of games will also release on PS4, there is no real deal breaker, and it still comes down to power. Better CPU, RAM, GPU, will result in better graphics.

Regarding yesterday's show and aftermath, some considerations:

• Disappointed not to see more 1st party gameplay, especially from HFW and GT7.
• Nobody cares about COD, but yeah, money talks
• The show ended up being underwhelming, with Demons Souls and GOW saving it from disgrace

I have to say that I'm disappointed that SMMM and HFW are cross-gen. This will undoubtably nerf the next-gen experience as a whole, unless they are developing 2 different games (which IMO is not happening).

Ended up pre-ordering the PS5 because my PS4 backlog is somewhat extensive and I'll hold off on playing those games before november.

The hair is the big difference for me. If you zoom in on both they look a lot better in Spiderman than in Cyberpunk.

Ok guys, in the end, I was actually unexpectedly able to order a PS5 disc edition after all. Before that, I wrote to amazon and other sellers, all of whom have confirmed that there will be more quotas in the next few days and weeks. So just browse the onlineshops as often as possible.

It's more than likely 8K models, as you can see skin details beyond anything we've seen so far on any platform. With PS5's smart Geometry Engines and per frame polygon budget, you can throw whatever on screen and it'll only render according to the targeted budget. 3080/3090 are miles ahead of PS5's power, but they're forced to calculate multiple times more details that are unnecessary, forcing the overall used assets to be gimped.

You need to hammer that into those PC guys' heads real hard to understand it. It's not all about raw power, but how you direct it/use it. In short, be NIMBLE!

I don't want to protect Sony now. The communication was once again garbage and they (like Microsoft) could have announced the pre-order for one of the coming days. Nevertheless, it was the retailers who opened the pre-orders immediately after the stream. I doubt whether that was in the interests of Sony. Like I said earlier, that was @ midnight in Europe...
