Do you really think Sony did not buy any exclusive?
Xbox's Nintendo Switch & Kojima Teases Were Reportedly Intentional
Xbox's Kojima and Nintendo teases were purposeful.screenrant.com
Yeah there was an article where Microsoft was laughed at for an hour apparently when they offered to buy Nintendo.Xbox has wanted a partnership with them for years maybe its actually happening?
Do you really think a publisher does a game exclusively for a console out of good will?
I'd expect it to be less than what people are suggesting. Maybe one / some of the old rare games remade for the switch or something.Xbox has wanted a partnership with them for years maybe its actually happening?
Lol don't let me trolling get to you man.Do you really think a publisher does a game exclusively for a console out of good will?
Look at the PS5 games announcements and you'll see lots of "temporal exclusivity".
I know this is mostly a Sony-fanboy forum but come on, are you guys really so naive?
R&F I can understand, it's the first title to market what PS5 can do that last gen couldn't, but Returnal will suffer the burden of being a Sony exclusive although it's the first venture from Housemarque into the big budget games world. They released Dreams last year, Destruction All-Stars 2 months ago and their next exclusives are Returnal and Ratchet and Clank. Can somebody tell me, which of them is a multi-million seller?

Based on FF15 and KH3 probably north of 80/20Lol don't let me trolling get to you man.
Of course sony money hats are nut game sales on PS vs Xbox also have alot to do with it.
Say FF7 for instance. If it came to both were looking at what? Roughly 70-30 split?
Even if that were the case, is any publisher so stupid to lose 30% of sales because reasons?Say FF7 for instance. If it came to both were looking at what? Roughly 70-30 split?

30% of sales at what development cost? Sales do not matter if cost of development out weigh itEven if that were the case, is any publisher so stupid to lose 30% of sales because reasons?
Schrier is as legit as you get. His track record speaks for himself. The internet, especially the anti woke crowd here on gaf has a hate boner for him, but when he does these exposes, he's always been on the mark. He called the cyberpunk development fiasco months before it launched. IIRC, he had devs saying that the game was literally a year away from being finished and now we know that to be true.I also can't understand all this "bashing" (don't know how to call it) based on rumors, essentially. Or did we get any concrete proof about what Schreier wrote?
There’s a petition up for wanting Sony to approve Days Gone 2.
No idea what they expect to happen once the number is reached.
I know you're not this dense, so I'll ask... how do charts showing decreasing sales prove these divisions are loss-making?
Sony started to have profit for the first time in Years with Xperia in 2020.I know you're not this dense, so I'll ask... how do charts showing decreasing sales prove these divisions are loss-making?
There is a factor that is called accumulated loss. If you lose money for 5 years , then coming end of fiscal of each year, this loss should be addressed either by capital injection by investors or by loans. A business is considered viable if reported earnings can cover this accumulated loss in order to pay the loans or return the capital investment previously mentioned. Sales figures show that what ever earnings are reported are insignificant to the losses sustained. Sony may choose to pursuit this activities , but sooner or later they cannot be sustained .I know you're not this dense, so I'll ask... how do charts showing decreasing sales prove these divisions are loss-making?
Posted? BC game (miss PS5 features like 120Hz mode) but better Shadows and framerate on PS5.

Weird... they didn't show results... they just compare the games and use tools to show the framerate.Mods closed a thread with these ppl as the source because of errors with their results.
I think its safe to say they are unreliable.

I dont see an outright purchase but I could see XBL coming to Switch.
How is this possible? So who gets a cut of the XBL membership etc etc
Sounds delusional.
Sony playing the same game as Microsoft by only giving numbers of their divisions and adding bad-performing numbers to those divisions is not a measure of them being healthy. The truth is that smartphone sales were down in 3 of the 4 quarters of the last year, movies division was also down, as expected due to Covid, and their imaging division was also down YoY on sales numbers.Sony sees record $10bn profit
Oh and Sony divides its business into Gaming, Music, Movies, Electronics, Imaging, Financial and Other.
Not one of those divisions is loss making at this time.
Of course they have, the poster I was answering was saying it did not happenI don't see your point. Both Xbox and PlayStation have money hatted loads of third party games
erm, we can form a list.... why are you acting like Microsoft isn't doing the same with timed exclusivity...Yup Microsoft has bought Bethesda but please, take a look at how many exclusive third party games have been announced for the PS5 and how many for the Xbox.

It's true that revenue has been mostly flat on those divisions but let's hope they can turn those sales numbers up

Age of Empires developers 'have not forgotten about Age of Mythology'
The beloved Age of Empires spin-off was released in 2002, but got an expansion more recently in 2016.www.pcgamer.com
Tbh I'd like to see this title make a return...

Let's see if they can mantain that. They have been on a sales number decline for some quarters now. They decreased Xperia shipment to reach profit... it is working... they have the first profit in years with Xperia.
They basically stopped to sell low-end Xperia and are only focusing in flagships that sells less units but gives more margins (that is why the numbers are down).

While the Lumia range continued to be successful, especially with low- and mid-range devices targeting emerging markets, sales of both Microsoft-manufactured smartphones and feature phones began to see major declines, due primarily to the rapidly-deflating market share of Windows Phone. In 2015, Microsoft took a US$7.8 billion write-down on the Nokia purchase, and announced layoffs of 7,800 employees, primarily within Microsoft's phone business. In May 2016, Microsoft abandoned its mobile business
We should be getting more Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart news soon
No , the point is that Sony cannot afford to slowdown Playstation, cause it supports the electronics problematic divisions. On the contrary Microsoft will be able to support the XBOX even at loss cause they make a great deal of money elsewhere. That's why Jim Ryan does what he does. That's the point.I'm confused... You stated their TV and mobile divisions were loss-making, posted irrelevant sales revenue charts that in no way supported your claim and now you're back peddling and moving the goalposts to talk about accumulated losses.
A company making $10B record profits is not even close to being in dire financial straits, which was the original point you were trying to imply.
