I never asked for a different bet. Ever.

-You started a thread based off a tweet that Major Nelson said the Xbox Series X is called the Xbox One Series X and claimed in that thread that whats the device will be called.
"Well some users in GAF didn't like That I always typed Xbox One Series X when in touch with the new machine of Xbox family.
So I stopped to use that term in favor of new Xbox or just Xbox.

But I was right since beginning... the name of the new console is indeed Xbox One Series X and that fits the MS narrative of no new generation and games being made across all the Xbox One family. "

To which I replied with you were reaching as this is simply a tweet with a mistake.

"This is obviously a typo/mistake. You are reaching hard here."

You then claimed I was spreading bull. Which honestly I don't even know what you were referring to. All I said was this is obviously a typo or mistake. No one ever claimed the Tweet did not exist. But you are implying that since Major Nelson tweeted it out the Xbox Series X is now known as Xbox One Series X. To which I replied with:

" Says the guy claiming a tweet has changed the name of a product."

I then said:

"Make an avatar bet then if you are so confident."

To which you then said:

"Ok.
I say Major Nelson just said Xbox One Series X as talking about the new next-gen Xbox console.

The OP is already proof.

So when you will change your avatar? "

Which again doesn't make a lot of sense considering I very clearly said:

" Says the guy claiming a tweet has changed the name of a product."

Which is where the bet comes from. So there is your "original bet."

I really dont care if it is 30 or 60 when playing with a controller as long as it is a smooth as butter 30 or 60. I can play games like AC odyssey and Just Cause 4 at 70 fps plus the majority its when it gets choppy randomly is when it sucks. I have a AMD 2700 Vega 56

Fact: he has friends still working in the industry.
Fact: him not having a devkit does not mean he does not have info about it.

Additional fact: people in Columbus Day didn't think the earth was flat.
And so what if he hangs out with fanboys of either console. It doesn't alter whether he has access to info or not. As for whether what he has said is true we will see.

One of the early ideas for the setting for GoW rebooted was ancient Egypt but they ultimately settled on Norse mythology. Hopefully one day they'll revisit the concept though

I don't know if you are familiar with the works of Graham Hancock, Robert Schoch and Randall Carlson (many others too), who are argue that human civilisation may go back thousands of years than previously thought and we see little traces of these lost and advanced civilisations thanks to the great cataclysms that have occurred on this Earth which science is starting discover including comet impacts, catastrophic flooding, forest fires and earthquakes all occurring in the past 12,000 years. But I'm heavily digressing lol that being said I do think game creators and devs can come up with some interesting ideas and perhaps even games by taking a look at these ideas! I already know Assassins Creed is influenced by Graham Hancocks works and elements of Uncharted too. I'm curious to see what kind of new games we get for next-gen besides sequels!

Genuinely, maybe your lack of understanding of the English language is the issue here. It's very clear what I was saying, and what you linked shows it.

But FFS move on. I'm not going to debate what in black and white with you. You clearly have no interest in actuality debating anything. So why keep poking? Move on.

I am familiar with those. That's definitely a good reason that there could be so many commonalities against peoples thousands of miles apart. Though we tend to think of those peoples as having developed completely apart there's evidence of migration from other areas of the globe even long ago. There's a water hole/cave system somewhere in South America that they found a skull near the bottom of that they estimated was over 16,000 years old. They analyzed the DNA and were surprised to discover that the the person it belonged to was likely or was related to Australian aboriginal peoples, NOT what are thought of as South American people.

Anyway, yeah...digression. But those next gen games should be really cool. With the enhanced CPU power as well I'm hoping to see some evolution in control schemes and gameplay as well. I actually think that haptic triggers like in the new Dual Sense will provide a bit more than a lot of people think. Little things and details add up to form the experience so I think that will help and I don't see why those functions wouldn't be used. We'll see. Maybe VR will make a leap too?

Hey all I'm new here, and will be 'attempting' to stay balanced in my comments ;)
Hasn't Chris Grannell also claimed that PS5 had no RT, and its been mentioned here on this thread that the dev(s) behind Quantum Error have already falsified that claim. The QE dev said something like they'll be using 100% RT. So doesn't this throw the validity of what Chris had 'claimed to have said' into question?!?

I remember someone at M$ saying they are experimenting with this tech. I wonder how widespread it'll be. I assume all of their first party stuff will get it. I remember Halo 3 got HDR support on the 360 version.

It's funny. Just get over it. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will do the same slip up when Xbox Series X releases. Even Phil said the name is actually Xbox. So the next Xbox is just called Xbox. And what we were shown was the X series. So it's the Xbox, the X series. So it's actually the Xbox X.

Xbox. Xbox One. Xbox One S. Xbox One X. Xbox Series X. Xbox Series S. Xbox One Series X. Xbox X.

Well, if Microsoft has no games at launch, we can actually call it Xbox One Series X as it will be a BC machine with an addition of cross-gen ports.
 
After all these naming subtitles "X Box 2" would be brilliant. It would show they have this much confidence in this next leap it's a fully fledged successor to the original X Box.

If someone had a good job and that was over 10 years ago, is not in the industry anymore, and is very clearly bitter towards that existance what does that tell you.

Bitter enough to reach out to delusional fanboys looking for dirt and FUD on twitter, and lets be clear twitter is not friends, eh is tlking with delusional fanboys on another continent..

So this guys agenda is clear to me, there is something wrong here, as never worked in the industry again. That smells. Not one job since, not even a part time contractor stint mentioned anywhere.

I also dont see any other developer friends in his converstaions - normally you would have actual friends on your social media.

Sometimes people do bad things and get shunned, backs turned on - I would puta bet on he did something really bad and got sacked.. I see no friendly tweets from any game devs.

Some people in this world are just wrong.

You are clearly lapping up this shunned developer, sad really.

I know a guy who had a senior position at People Can Fly (worked on that Gears sequel they developed) and shortly at Epic when they bought PCF. He quit that job and I met him a few months later, so I asked how he was doing. He told me he had gone to work for a bank (still working with GPUs, probably AI but he couldn't give any details) and it had been a great decision. He said he wouldn't even consider going back to gamedev. Too much pressure, crunch, unrealistic deadlines, overall stress. I'm not defending the other guy, what he's doing is wrong, but I can image how you can get burnt having such a job.
