I'm gonna be honest, the only Silent Hill game I played was the one on the PSP, Shattered Memories I think, I liked it but I'm not really that much of a fan, God of War 2018 on the other hand made me a fan in the first hour, I need to see the scale and destruction of a fight against Thor.

And ps5 will only play a handful of ps4 games and has not mentioned if it will play ps4pro versions.

Edit I wasn't aware that the ps5 should be able to play the majority of ps4 games so I'm happy to be wrong on this one.

The xbox one x has quite a lot of actual 4k versions unlike the ps4pro and it's 1440p up scales so it will be a waste of space for the xbox series S to play 4k versions down sampled to 1080p/1440p which is the whole point of the machine.

PS5 compatible with 4/pro was at the very first announcement, slideshow from event....

Don't mix your misinformation with a confusing message.It will play games however you want either in legacy standard mode or legacy pro mode and as they said the overwhelming majority of games will work in boost mode (aka ps5 enhanced).

The PS5 will play almost all PS4 games, just like the xboxes will play almost all xbox one games.

And the PS5 will run the Pro versions.

I hope so as I'm holding off for Wednesday to see if some of the few that will be backwards compatible will also have a patch ie god of war as that has a performance mode and visual mode so I'm hoping that it will allow both at the same time.

Hellblade has a 3rd option I noticed the other day where it combines the 2 different modes but I can't remember if god of war does.

You need to train better reading skills.

Cernys presentation were really easy to understand and clear:

message were that top 100 games have been tested/working, and because top 100 includes big variety of games from random genres, it means that most likely majority of games are already working.


Really weird how so many dont have basic logical skills to see that message, instead of "omg only 100 games work!" which he never meant clearly
 
oh yeah that's a good point though, it will all mostly be 1440p or 1080p

like could they atleast update their first party games to be 4k, i would love UC4 in 4K for example. hopefully we'll hear something on next gen updates for existing titles Wednesday

Personally, I think either people from PS or Xbox spewing those kind of remarks on the other company's box is not a good look, and it's pretty dumb as it only serves the purpose of console warring.

But at the same time, it doesn't make Xbox's branding any less of a mess. Even if we understand it all, and we obviously do, anyone claiming otherwise it's probably just talking shit, it's still quite a word salad.
