I'm not saying you're lying or whatever because I've not played it before but could you try find a comparative screenshot. I haven't played Spiderman yet as I was hoping it'd get a PS5 version alongside Miles Morales as a rumour said and would be great for me to jump in.

MS shares AMD visions on general gaming, across PCs and consoles. It's a no brainer for a blog post like that to happen, just see how AMD casually plugs in their RX 6000 series on a 4K120 headline. On the other hand, Sony to AMD is just another semi-custom customer with all that entails.

By the way, both are custom RDNA 2, 'rumours' about this are pointless.

The thing is that sony never before issued a statement saying "nope, the 6mill figure is wrong" / "the 11mill figure is wrong" / "the 15mill figure is wrong"

The point is Sony started mass production in June/July with a target number we don't know and whatever that target was they are meeting it with no major issues. It not only debunks this latest article but also at least 1 of the the reporters 2 earlier articles that Sony didn't bother to comment on as they probably didn't affect the share price.

Yes, I already wrote this when I first posted the news, that with this statement basically sony calls "false" BOTH reports of increasing production because of covid-expected increased sales.
They did not care to do it before though..

Yep, and I understand that, at this point, I won't be sure about the 6M or the 11M or the 15M, Sony didn't release a statement because other reports where just estimations without a bad press, removing 4M from 15M because of manufacturer issues definitely is BAD press they needed to get rid off.

Right, which leaves us in the position that no reports of PS5 production numbers can be believed. We just have to wait for the first sales number reports from around the world to get decent estimates unless it sells gangbusters and Sony put out a press release to brag.

Well it was implied and maybe I didn't put it out there bluntly. But sources believe Email Pre Orders will start in the next week. And then retail chains after. I can't confirm the details 100%, but I can hear my Discover Card racking up some charges soon...lol

Ive been wondering about the launch. How many units are allocated to what countries?

How many units are needed per country? I'm sure there will be shortages anyway.

Since sony are doing the email thing 1st and forum goers are the hardcore users maybe Evilore could secure a GAF deal with them and we all get 2nd crack at them before Amazon if we all promise to get Gold.

You are right. Either none of these reports can be believed, or all.

One good thing -at least for USA- that is already verified by the company that made the deal, is that sony has secured a substantial number of air freights so that they can ship directly to retail from production, within a day or two.

They had to comment on this today since the share price took a hit yesterday on the Bloomberg article. As a public company you do not have much choice when that happens. Rumours you can technically ignore even if they move your share price but Bloomberg is credible enough for you to have to comment. You read way too much into Sony following stock market regulations.

Sony don't react to rumours, but this one coming from a known outlet could definitely cripple their shares if they just let it go for long.

Not necessarily . There were other articles in the past too which caused Sonys drops in shares, like last year for Spiderman, Marvel and Disney thing. But Sony didn't commented on this
Sony otherwise never comments on this stuff, but they felt the need to debunk thaz crap. Wasn't the first time that Bloomberg was wrong about something, though.
