NFS:MW ending... meh

DarienA

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
It's not even that the cops are super aggressive... it's not even that there are so many of them that the game seriously chops at points (PS2), it's not even that the conclusion to your fued with Razor just putters out... its not even that your fued with Cross doesn't have any big payoff.... no the lamest part is that the BMW that all of this was about handles like absolute garbage compared to best cars you have in your garage... UGH.

Guess I'll spend some time in the challenge mode I hear some of the challenges once you get in to it are pretty crazy.

I actually like NFS:MW, I just feel that towards the end the game becomes extremely unbalanced. With the Milestones becoming ridiculously hard and you needing luck to pass them, while the races with the rivals aren't really that hard in comparison.

I wouldn't call the game 'meh' or overall 'just bad'. It was a damned good game, visually (on 360 anway), great style, awesome soundtrack, and cool layout for the city with plenty of details. But like I said, towards the end the game just went haywire.

I'm sick of this. EA just go with Underground 3 with all the cars from MW.

Eh no I'm not saying overall the game was bad... I enjoyed the hell out of it... just after all that fun the ending was incredibly anti-climatic.

dskillz you found the Milestones to be hard? I never had to do any more than 3 times near the end.... do all the speed ones individually then the pursuit milestones I would do all in pursuit, and I'd use the same pattern, when the pursuit starts hang a right, then another right, get on the highway race around the lower highway til I can hang a left and head north to access the upper large highway then just race around that large highway as many times as it takes to set the milestones... I turned the voice up and all other music and sounds down so I could hear when they called out spike strips and I also paid more attention to my mini map on the portions of the highway that were very small (2 lane), then whenever all my milestones were accomplished I'd wait until 1-2 cops were left chasing me then I'd come back around and either go in one side of the stadium that's off the upper highway and wait, or in the advanced stages when the cops will come around the outside, go completely through the stadium, keep going street go through the switch back and go hide in the middle of the large circle road(lots of grass fields in there to hide in), at lower levels on the blacklist you can go through one side of the stadium and just wait inside(as long as the helicopter is gone), OR you can do my other favorite get a decent lead on 1 pursuit unit and take an exit ramp that has an underpass, and hide under the underpass but you have to do it quick, top speed, immediately exit slam on the breaks spin and hide under the underpass. Did that quite a few times. The only time I screwed up on milestones was when I wasn't paying attention on 2 lane portions of the upper highway it would always be at that moment that there would be a spike strip just ahead.

I actually found the final getaway to be harder than many of the higher blacklist milestones because the BMW isn't that heavy a car and using it to plow through roadblocks slowed it down WAAAY too much.

I just wish I could start a new game with all my cash...

I was actually a little let down by the story. I found it kind of intriguing for awhile, but then nothing ever really happened and you just got lame messages every few races. The end was fine, but it just wrapped up kind of out of the blue. Josie Maran is friggin hot though, she should be allowed in any game she wants.

I'm in chapter 7 on the PSP and it's easily the best portable racer I've ever played - are there any major differences between the PSP and console versions or can I also look forward to some gnarly-hard end-game challenges?

Game is great but to damn hard. I can easily win every race (currently BL #5) but the cop chases after that are getting ridiculous. Cop probalibity - maximum, copters, SWAT etc.

Meh, I always get busted :(

The console version of NFS:MW is totally different from the PSP version. NFS: MW on PSP is basically NFS Underground Rivals 2.

For those doing milestones... really you don't want to start a milestone on anything above level 2 or its just going to be too hard to finish.

Pro Tip don't forget to change the body parts on your car, paint color, spoilers, etc all the visuals looks to drop your heat level.

Your definitely going to want to do this when Razor calls you late in the game with his special surprise for you.

I wonder what happened to your girl. It is almost like she disappeared after Razor won her.

Maybe we will get to know the truth in the sequel!

I think it's the best game on the 360 that I've played (and I've played PGR3). I defintely don't play it for the story though. :lol.

There was another girl besides Mia?

That's pretty much what I've been expecting since watching the intro to the game. This is definitely one of those games where I'm not concerned about the payoff at the end.

This is first NFS I've played since like the PS days. It gives me a warm Smuggler's Run vibe when you get into police chases but I do wish it would ramp up in action a little faster because climbing through the blacklist (I think I'm up to 10 or 11 ATM) just feels a little slow right now.

Thought I actually bought a Murcielago I actually ended up using my Gallardo once I got it off the blacklist member for the rest of the game. The Gallardo is slightly slower but it's a bit more nimble on the turns at least at the default tuning settings. On the high end of the game I'd just use any car for the milestone chases that didn't burn too much rubber from a standing still when you step on the gas... so that meant no to the corvette. Needed a car that if you get pinned by the cops can quickly accelerate away without having to feather the gas to keep traction. So the Murcielago, the Viper, the DB9, the CLK were all good choices....

Not that I knew of.

That's what I thought... and we know what's up with Mia, she's an
undercover cop
. We never did get a face put to the name Rog who I assume is the same as Mia...
