Well I've decided to quit smoking starting today, and man the nicotine withdrawls are killing me. Must be strong, I've had enough of this shit.

Help me GAF :(

Don't quit cold turkey. Every time I've done it, I haven't been able to get over the cravings, as they totally destroy my willpower. You need to cut down huge. Just like have 1-4 a day, and you'll be amazed at how quickly the cravings dissipate. I used to smoke more than half a pack a day, and after three days of having 2 smokes per day, I've only gotten one craving today. And I haven't had my second smoke yet.

yeah, this is actually how you do it, but it does help to take up a new hobby or something that can help to occupy you and prevent you from smoking just to pass the time. I know that once I kept myself occupied I was able to get by with 2 smokes a day and from there you can muster the willpower necessary to quit.

I have about 5-6 smokes a day as it is, the withdrawls aren't THAT bad, but the temptation is there and is bothering me to no end. I'm by no means a heavy smoker, but I still want to quite before my habit gets even worse.

The two main proponent for my habit is boredom and stressful exams. I gotta keep myself busy, preferrably by studying, as that kills two birst with one stone (boredom, and reduces stress for exams).

I've been smoking once or twice a week for a couple months now. This is a strategy I hope will keep me from getting seriously addicted to the stuff.

I would suggest the opposite - go totally cold turkey. It'll really fucking suck for about 2 weeks, and then you'll be fine. If you drink, you'll need to avoid that too for the 2 weeks, since drinking and smoking go hand in hand. That's how I quit, and I've been 8 years now without a relapse. Also be aware that around the 2 week mark, you might feel really, really ill. Good luck - it's really fucking hard, but it's worth it :)

THANKS A LOT :( :( :(

Dude, seriously - 2 weeks is all it takes. It'll be a really, really shitty 2 weeks, but it can be done. I am living proof :)
