2 things

1. I like that is the first time that CG in anime hasn't looked like trash and ruined the look.

2. Square is milking the hell out of this lol

where can i watch this in the UK?

edit: nevermind seems like it's on crunchroll. i should've known.

Why are they releasing this now? I mean i would understand if they're making a sequel….. if not it's kinda pointless in a sense.

Will still watch tho 😅

Watch more. Attack on Titan S4, Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, Bleach TYBWA all are doing CG at a phenomenal level

Not to mention all of Studio Orange's series. And yeah, Demon Slayer by UFOTable, who also used CG well in their Fate series. Hell, most anime incorporates some use of CG at moments, they just disguise it well. Hence there's actually a ton of anime with good use of CG but because most people don't even notice it thus they spread the misinformation that most anime that use CG do it poorly. They latch on to stuff like Berserk 2016, Handshakers, Ex-arm (which would have looked shit in 2D anyway as Ex-Arm was made by people who had never made anime before), and act like it's the majority when it's actually not.

Everything looked pretty good until they show a CG animated Engel... I hate crappy CG mixed in to anime, it always looks out of place and never fits as well as hand animated cels. Even modern Gundam series that go to great lengths making the CG look like cel animation don't pull it off well. I get that it's cheaper and faster, but it cheapens the look too.

Ok but why ?

Why releasing an anime who show exactly what the game show ?... Don't understand why they are doing this...
Because there might be a slightly larger 7 billion of people that didn't play Nier, and probably doesn't even know about it's existence vs a few million people that does? It's great to give all those other people the chance to experience the story and world I'd say 😁
