Great... an announcement of an announcement.
Its already April 1st on Japan btw, coming from the Nier team this has 50% of chance of being a joke lol
It'll be mobile, a novella, a silly concert but not an actual game.
Seems very Emil coded. Kind of tired of Emil to be honest.
I love Emil,his has become Nier's mascot same way Jack Frost is for Atlus. what I'm tired of is Yoko Taro making everything other than actual video game.
I don't care if it's new NieR or entirely new IP I just want new console game from him.

Between Nier and Kingdom Hearts, I'm convinced Square Enix is trying to buck fans and secretly kill each series (with the number of pointless spinoffs and mobile games, that could have just been translated to console games).
C'mon man, if it really is a gacha game, you know you'll have to give it a try. ;pIf it's another mobile game….
Can't take much stock from it since Yoko Taro says he starts projects and ends up scrapping them at Square Enix's leisure.
So unless it's Drakengard 4, NieR 3, NieR Reincarnation but different or a new Yoko Taro game with footage and a release date gonna be hard to get excited.

Btw, this new announcement was exclusive to the japanese Nier account, it was not posted on the regular english one and we also dont have any Yokotaro post about it in his profile too.
Seems to be just another aprils fool joke like the one we had last year, were they announced a 8 bit game on the same day as today exclusively to the japanese account, and as expected, it was never released.

Still playing SP games as well. Put 20h into Crimson Desert and I'm also playing the most recent Life is Strange game which released last week. After that I want to read a VN I bought on Steam recently.
Gacha took you away from me.
But yeah, I do enjoy gachas a good deal too for various reasons. I still have the Nier mobile game installed on my old broken phone, but yeah… the servers have been offline for a while now...
Gaming has gotten so cringe with this shit. Teasers for trailers, announcements of announcements, overhyped events that show fuck all, (etc...)
