Nintendo Direct 2/17

Consider me hyped. 2021 looks to be stacked for Nintendo, and I'm sure they have a few surprises left to drop as well. This year is going to be good for gaming I think.

Wow. Can't see it at work - is this a proper, full fat Direct?

If so, when was the last one? Feels like at least a year - or more.

EDIT: Yeah, Sept 2019 was the last one, god damn.

Finally!Lets hope some new game announcements come from this. There are too many rumours and wishes of whats to come that even if a tiny amount of them is true we will see great things.

Can't wait to watch 20 minutes of Smash, then 20 minutes of indies constantly checking the timer as it approaches 50 minutes and then get one proper game at the end.

Watch them throw in a COVID section talking about working in a pandemic and then maybe a social justice section too.

Anything less than Zelda BOTW sequel, Metroid Prime 4, new Earthbound, new F-Zero, new Xenoblade/Monolith would be a tremendous disappointment. Let us gogogogogogo!!!!!

Yes yes yes yes. I'm hoping to hear more about No More Heroes at the very least, and that alone is hype enough!

Some predictions fresh from my ass?

Zelda collection

New botw sequel trailer with a vague "holiday" window slapped on to it

2d metroid

Mario golf

Smt IV

Mario 3d all stars being seperated into seperate purchases. Galaxy 2 coming with this as well

next smash fighter

new pokemon snap trailer

new donkey kong game

All of these are now 100% confirmed:
  • Bayonetta 3
  • Metroid Prime 4
  • Pokémon Diamond & Pearl remakes
  • Pokémon Let's Go Johto
  • Breath of the Wild II
  • Remasters of every 3D Zelda game
  • Switch Pro

Since they will only talk about the first half of 2021 I hope we'll get updates about NSO or more GameCube and Wii remasters (come on use that 3D All Stars emulation), some kind of Switch Sports (with online multiplayer, local is a bit tricky with the pandemic ongoing) and Mario Strikkers. That would made my 2021 already.
