Toshio Iwai was presenting that thing on the show floor at SIGGRAPH last year. It was pretty cool, but I'm not too musically inclined so I didn't really know how to use it to great effect. He said he was working with Yamaha to make it available on the market as an insturment

A theme park called "Shigureden"(Autumnal Shower Palace),featuring the Ogura Hundred Poems by famed 100 poets, which is one of the best-known Japanese classic literal works, will open in the Arashiyama-Sagano area this autumn simultaneously with the opening of a pass aimed at enabling tourists to make the round of Ogura poem monuments set up around Mt. Ogura. The theme park and the pass promise to be a new tourist attraction in Kyoto.

Ah! I -thought- that was what the connection was. The pictures looked like they could be part of that poem bit, and the museum appearance made me think it had something to do with the poetry and culture association Yamauchi is tied with.
