You know, when you look at this list, I kinda have to agree that the DS' 1st party lineup has been underwhelming... Jeeez.

And I like Yoshi way more than most!

... at least there's Kirby, which is awesome.

Am I the only one annoyed by this? It should be For Ho-Oh the Bell Tolls. Hemingway must be spinning in his grave.

I want to see The Sunflora Also Rises, A Farewell to Skarmory and The Old Man and the Seadra. The last one could have sexy results.

It isn't that bad considering it's at the end of the system's life.

However, anyone that thinks Twilight Princess is going to rule the world and kick Ken Kutaragi and J Allard in the teeth is in for a nasty surprise come Christmas.

Doubtful, it's going to be the biggest game this fall.

Top games this christmas should be...

Perfect Dark Zero (if it makes it)
Madden 2006 (choose your system)
Kingdom Hearts II
Zelda: Twilight Princess

Which order will it be in? This is the question.

No way. Games released towards the end of a system's life always have significantly lower sales than their predecessors. I'll present you with three examples from last-gen: Majora's Mask, Final Fantasy IX, Conker's Bad Fur Day.

Look at the factors going into the holiday period:

1. GCN software sales are flatlining. Interest in the system is nosediving, there's not a single GCN game in the May top 20, and in April there wasn't a single GCN game released. New release Donkey Konga 2 only did 25,000 which is abysmal for a Nintendo game.

2. Xbox 360. All the hype is here.

3. GCN is coming in a distant last.

Yay! I'm one of 13,865 DS owners! (I bought Polarium)

I don't know 'bout the rest of you, but I got my money's worth. I think I've logged well over 20 hours playing that game, and I still go back to play challenge once in a while.
