Nintendo: More New Brand this Generation

Well Capcom has been no slouch this generation, they've been in pretty good form lately. New IPs (including Dreamcast):
- Devil May Cry
- Killer 7
- Okami
- P.N.03
- Viewtiful Joe
- Chaos Legion
- Auto Modellista
- Maximo
- Powerstone
- Onimusha
- Cannon Spike
- Gotcha Force
- Tech Romancer
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Of course in classic Capcom form they've whored these out into sequel hell, but at least they're not all SF/RE/Mega Man, all the time.

You forgot Monster Hunter, Devil Kings and Without Warning. And probably more games...

True, just looked up the full list, forgot Glass Rose, Shadow of Rome, Crimson Tears, Haunting Ground, and...well you get the idea. Go them.

UNIRACERS... now that was a game.
I just bought that at a flea market last weekend for 2 or 3 $ (along with NES tetris and Blaster Master, both with box/ins) haven't got to play it yet though

No way. Include the Dreamcast in that figure and fuhgeddabout it.
Adding in DC gives Sega and extra 2.5 years lead time. Going just from mid 2001 (start of next gen for Nintendo, start of 3rd party for Sega, so a transition for both) Nintendo's released nearly twice the new brands Sega has.

Capcom's been by a wide margin the best major JP publisher at releasing new brands almost every generation. They're really underrated in that regard.
