Hi folks. Since I'm having problems with my wireless router (random drop offs and "dead" periods where my DS fails to communicate with my router), I got the Nintendo USB Wifi Connector. It was fairly easy to set up and get running.

So I have the Wifi Connector properly set up, but I also still have my original wireless router network connection set up. When using Mario Kart to connect to WFC, which connection does the DS use? The USB Connector, or my homemade setup?

I'd think the WiFi dongle. That's why you bought it, after all. =P

If you go to the wireless settings and click that long button that says Nintendo USB connector (or something to that effect) It will run a test on your USB connection. Then it will connect using the USB first whenever it is available.

I had similar problems with my connection at my parents house using both the USB and the wireless router, and the reason was because of my parent's firewall. So if your problems persist, check Nintendo's site about firewall problems
