Nintendogs info: dog competitions and locations

Yeah, I posted about this in the other Nintendogs thread.

I guess that's what it meant by three "Tsugas".

I hope the 3rd one is illegal dog fights complete with gambling and gang members. It would really give this game the mature edge it needs.

Pshh, frisbee cometitions with no Border Collies or Australian Sheperds? That's, like, the special ed frisbee competition.

Preach it man!

Those frisbee missing pups have nothing on the great Border Collie..

Too bad this isn't Nintenferrets -- otherwise you could have events like "Plastic bag burrowing" and "Bookshelf climbing" and "Who can break into the refrigerator first".

Nintencats would be cool -- except, oh, wait, you can't get cats to do anything for you. Oh well.

Dude cat + ball of yarn = hours of fun. Especially since they're so god damn random in attacking the thing.

A few more screens (and some info) have just been released by NOA. Since their press extranet is currently down: alternative link

Yeah, it's a shame the most recent updates on their press site are down. Besides the GDC press kit, I noticed they also added new screens for Pokemon Dash, Polarium, and as you said, Nintendogs. None of them are viewable right now, though.

No screens for Pokémon Dash as far as I know. I managed to grab most of the presskit just before their server fried.
If you send me a PM with your email-address or something, I can send you the Polarium and Yoshi Touch & Go screens. All other screens and factsheets are available on gba.n64europe.com (GBA & DS) and cube-europe (GC & DS)

The US version may omit a couple of puppy breeds that are popular in Japan but not in the States, but even with the exclusions the stateside edition will contain a larger line-up of dogs when it's completed later this year.
If we bitch and moan enough, maybe they'll listen! (maybe they did when the PuppyTimes name was dropped?) Oh, and they need to add chow chows. Like this one!

Here's the plot for the Nintendogs game:

You're a dog who can't remember his past, but has the potential for great powers. A great darkness has spread across the land. You, on your quest to avenge the death of your father and bitch of a mother, must face the powers of darkness, reclaim the great frisbee, rope, and ball of power and unify all three of the shattered doggie kindgoms.

I really hope Nintendogs sees a domestic release. I'd buy it. :D

Already confirmed. What more, they got rid of the stupid Puppy Times name and restored it to the Japanese original, Nintendogs.

Some breeds from the Japanese version are gonna be dropped from the US release, but we'll be getting different breeds to replace them, and we'll have more breeds in total.

Also, it is expected that Japan's 3 different versions of Nintendogs is going to be consolidated a bit in the US version. Perhaps only 2 different versions, or even 1?
