No Lives Matter - Tom MacDonald

There's a good message there and decent lyrics. I just couldn't make it through the video though. Just not my kind of music

He might be. But he doesn’t look smart. I would question whether anyone who gets tattoos on their face can also be smart. They seem mutually exclusive to me.

Some people like hard mode.

I know this sounds like a joke answer, but it is about as true as it gets. I have known many people that live off the grid in various ways - anarcho-types, squats, communes, gutterpunks, etc. and as such I have known many people with face tattoos. Some are dumb as a rock, 'fuck everything' types. Some are just broken - mentally ill, or addicts, terminal losers.

But many are the type who embrace principle first living, though how they do so varies [anarcho-squats, nomads, communes, etc]. Off grid you will find a deep underbelly of extremely smart people who effectively said 'fuck the system imma do it my way'. That doesn't mean you need face tats to be any of that, but it is generally a symbol of 'I have left polite society and fuck you, too' [though in the past decade it's also glam in some subcultures, tattoos are not the stigma they were 20 or 30 years ago].

Regarding Tom MacDonald, he built an empire on his own. No manager, no record label, no agent, just him spitting fire and his girl making videos. Hard mode.

I’m sure they exist. But my experience with them is usually in the medical setting, where people with face tattoos are almost exclusively where they are for a very stupid reason. Usually, they would be better getting “I don’t make good decisions” tattoo’d on their face.

Obviously this is just my personal experience. What I am certain of is that there are going to be a very large number of young people who are going to wish they had not gotten words that meant a lot to them one day written permanently across their face.

Oh, yeah, in the medical profession you will definitely see the addict, mentally ill, and criminal side of things. No doubt, heroin and meth run rampant on the edge of society. I know even Tom struggled with addiction, but that was before he had face tats.

And he is, despite the sarcasm.
the only thing smart about this guy is that he managed to make a career out of the "I don't even like rap, but..." stereotype.

"I don't really listen to rap, but Tom MacDonald is real hip hop." - This guys entire fanbase.

Independent artists > BIg label sellouts

The GOAT

and hip hop hates Tom McDonald, justifiably. This dude literally repeats talking points he picks up from Fox News and makes them rhyme (barely). He has like one flow. Picks the shittiest beats imaginable. His songs all sound the fucking same, both sonically and thematically. He certainly isn't a modern avant-garde version of Public Enemy or whatever you think. lol
Being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian doesn't make you brave and deep. He found a niche and ever since makes the same song.

In this day and age a shit ton of artists are independent and successful, but that doesn't make the music inherently good. I know people that make tight and creative shit from their mom's basement. And honestly, there is nothing more disrespectful to rap and hiphop than taking fucking Tom McDonald on your goat list. This guy isn't even a top 500, let alone a top 5000 rapper. Even ICP have more artistic integrity than this guy.

and just as a reminder. Bun B, Denzel Curry, Tyler the Creator, fucking Nas, Kanye, Twista, Tech N9ne, JPEGMAFIA, Currency and many more released albums last year. And this year already had releases from Earl Sweatshirt, Montana of 300, Big K.R.I.T. and one of the biggest OG's, KRS-One. Half of these guys are independent artists too, but unlike Thomas, actually make music worth listening to.

Those are all establishment rappers. They just parrot whatever Berkshire Hathaway and Raytheon tell them to.

Tom MacDonald is the only one brave enough to rage against the machine. Puppet rappers are whack.

first things first, it's "wack" not "whack". many people make this mistake though, so whatever.

Again, being contrarian for the sake of being contrarian doesn't make you brave and deep. He as much a rebel as Tucker Carlson is. As a matter of fact, he is like the bastard child of Tucker Carlson and 6ix9ine.

Those are all establishment rappers.
Half of these are independent artists. According to your own logic they're automatically good.

if Tom McDonald is Led Zeppelin than Lil Pump is Mozart.

because it doesn't make fucking sense.

so repeating talking points that run each and every day on Fox News (you know, one of the most powerful and established media outlets of all time?) makes him anti-establishment?

Big Brother Reaction GIF by MOODMAN

"Everything I don't like is Hitl...Tucker Carleson."

The fact that no one else in music, TV, film, sports, and gaming (the 5 cultural pillars of the West) is brave enough to speak these truths is the pinnacle of art. Your whack establishment parrots just march to the Berkshire Hathaway drums.

Anti establishment is an entirely different language that frustrates the drones.

Real recognize real.

Real recognize real.

"everyone who doesn't agree with my takes that defy any logic is a mindless drone"

classic.

before you put up more shitty music from this grifter, please tell me how you can be anti establishment when you're literally parroting stuff from the establishment? or does only one side of the establishment count? lmfao
maybe read up a dictionary and look up what "establishment" actually means. you already have brain rot from consuming Thomas all day.
He is a hypocrite too. On one hand he complains about his opinion allegedly being belittled and his stance getting censored or whatever, and at the same time he blocks people who disagree with him.
music, TV, film, sports, and gaming
well, that's just a straight up lie. there are tons and tons of deeply connected people with wealthy and powerful organizations behind their back that say the exact same shit that Thomas does.
Tucker Carlson and Fox News is just one of multiple examples. is he special now because he does so while rhyming under ultra shitty beats? if you criticize the establishment, then be consistent and do it with the entirety of the establishment and not just cherry pick it.

Real recognize real.
ah so that's why no one inside rap respects Thomas. Gotcha.

You necro'ed this shit because you thought you were cute and were gonna insult some people and impress some(no)one.

Instead, you brought the video to my attention (the song is fucking genius, by the way), thus inspiring me to share it with everyone I know, and find the dude on Spotify.

Well played. :messenger_grinning_smiling:

I'm an old ancient spirit, summoned by Hitler's testicle, that wants to be called "t.h.e" and this Tom McDonald guy (awesome name btw.) really is speaking facts about modern society.
