Nobody 2 (2025) - Bob Odenkirk kicking butts

Happy Chris Hemsworth GIF by Marvel Studios

Music is an homage to Lampoons Vacation. That was nice. Maybe Odenkirk wont almost die filming this one.

The director of Hardcore Henry and the first Nobody movie has a new action movie coming out too. "Heads of State" has Idris Elba and John Cena in the main roles, it's coming out on Amazon Prime Video on July 2:

It looks like absolute rubbish: absolutely stupid plot (presidents of UK and US have to fight their way back to safety after a terrorist attacks leaves them stranded in Eastern Europe, unconvincing family friendly violence, cheap CGI everywhere, modern audience cliches (a cool black protagonist, a white protagonist who's a bumbling fool and a "girl boss" female protagonist who has to save the guys). 🤮

Enjoyed the first one, not sure I need a second one but hopefully it doesn't turn out like the John Wick franchise.

This trash actually looks alright. Gives me the bodyguard of the hitman vibes. Id watch it off streaming. Wouldnt pay for this crap.

You forgot the gun happy white guy protagonist who knows what he's doing (Jack Quaid) ... And the American President was an actor, not a Marine. Not sure about the UK president. Priyanka Chopra-Jonas is supposed to be some badass government spy... Not sure which government

I still remember when some early previews for the first movie made out like it was going to be a modern day "Falling Down" which felt like it would've been a much more interesting concept but at least here the sequel heavily leans into the differences from John Wick by having it as him and his family on vacation.

Gotta admit - the trailer got me. I had a huge smile on my face when they used Holiday Road in the trailer.

0:12 - Multiple guys surrounding him in the elevator scene: Lanky dude in the back standing there what looks like crying or something watching while his boys are getting pummelled on one by one 😂

Can't take these movies serious with scenes like this.

I agree with everything you are saying but I'm still gonna watch it :P

I acknowledge that I'm part of the problem with bad modern 'cinema'

I haven't seen the first one, bob odenkirk as action star just doesn't sound right.
The original previews had it going for a modern day Falling Down, which in that aspect it perfectly works, then the whole ex-agent thing was revealed and it's still alright, his branch was to be the unexpected types, normal looking suburban family men you wouldn't expect anything from as a way to slip in and out of places.

It has its goofy moments, especially in the last act. It's like they got a sudden cash influx from an investor and went a little crazy with it. IMHO these types of films do better with a tight tense finale versus a bombastic loud one.

He seems to be an innocent bystander. I don't think those are his guys getting beat on.
