Kingpen, PGR3 is a good game in single player mode. However, it really shines on Live. I'm not talking about playing with any swinging dick either. You need to find some guys or gals that you like playing with- people that share your style or racing sense. IOW, do you like to play bang em' up; or do you like relatively clean racing with some manners?
Beating and banging can be fun if it's the right type of game. A game of cat-n-mouse or last-man-standing is pretty much goat-screw city. You beat the hell out of each other to win the race, but that's only part of the game. If you can take off and leave everyone in your tracks, then you don't have to crunch sheet metal.
I prefer clean racing when I want to race, which is most of the time. However, depending upon the mood, I like to play smash-em' up. The real draw for me however, is being in a room full of people that I get along with, laughing and cutting up, and doing something that I enjoy doing- gaming.
