As the reports lately confirm, it is being said that WWE is scraping its plans to go with Undertaker & Kane Vs. Heidenreich & Snitsky for Undertaker Vs. Randy Orton. This seems to be the better path to go as Orton seems to have no other big plans, and a high profile match-up could give Orton the momentum he needs. Many backstage are saying that Orton will defeat the Dead Man after turning heel in the match. On a side note, Undertaker is expected to retire from WWE competition by this summer.

This after Angle said in an interview his final match will be with HBK at Wrestlemania. Please let Triple H be next!!

It's about bloody time. I can only be impressed by the "OLD SCHOOL" top-rope walk so many times before it loses its allure. Like around 1997.

Well in all honesty The Undertakers time was up really last Wrestlemania, ever since then he's been "no selling" even worse than usual, makes the occasional cameo apperance on Smackdown and really doesn't like putting people over {hmm who's that remind of from the 80's ?}

As for Angle leaving, well that's going to be a big loss he's always been one of my fav wrestlers since he came into the wwf-e he isn't the same wrestler as he was a few years ago obviously due to his screwed up neck, but he can still show up a lot of the other wrestlers even now {and that finish to the John Cena Match was booked pathetically}

Well with the bad news of Angle retiring comes the good news of Taker retiring. He just has not had it for a few years now and they killed anything that was cool about with the "American Badass" gimmick.

Yeah, Bikertaker really killed any interest in the character for me, and I don't think I'm the only one. At least he can finally kill his Wrestlemania streak to put a guy over.

Meanwhile Brock Lesnar sits back in his recliner with Sable on his arm, licking his lips. After Kurt and Taker are gone, WWE will basically be one or two major injuries away from being forced to give Brock what he wants to return.

Far more then Vince is willing to pay. Whether or not Brock's demands are reasonable is anybody's guess, but money value for a star is based on supply and demand, not reason.

Taker's retirement is long overdue, he's already had a big successful run and there's nothing left for him to do, plus he must be going through countless tubes of iced heat to keep those joints from creaking like a rusty door.

They say summer but the actual retirement match could be held off until Survivor Series 2005 when it's his 15th anniversary on the WWE. That way it will have more meaning, to finish up on the same event where he started.

You know how in movies when something amazing happens and all of a sudden a church choir immediately begins singing "Hallelujah!"? Well, I totally just had one of those moments.

I absolutely despise the Undertaker. As shitty as the whole Bikertaker gimmick was, I would have preferred he kept doing that than to come back as a half-assed version of his former self. Seriously, he wears the exact same gear he wore a year ago. The only real difference is the music and him occasionally rolling his eyes back in his head.

Still, I have to say, seeing him climb into a Ford Windstar minivan following a RAW here a few years ago was one of the funnier things I've witnessed.

If Undertaker retires with his last image being that "motorcycle bad-ass" image he had, it would be a real shame and disservice to the Wrestling fans of today...

He's gotta do a few more "dark" story lines with the gongs and lights out, put a half dozen or so people in coffins over a year, and have them not seen again or recur months later, and maybe seem all-but-out in a match then have smoke come from somewhere and revive him as totally refreshed, etc... He needs to be a truly feared man in Wrestling to justify retirement...

the gimmick "dark" undertaker of the early and mid 90's > other takes on his character...

Yeah, I gave up on the WWE when they kept on talking about brining back the old taker, but they just gave him his old hat and music. Everyone wants the old crazy satanic UT back and we never got it.

For me it was seeing him and Kane, back when they were still enemies, rolling lugagge around with fanny packs.

Ministry UT was the best iteration of his character, music, costume until they wussed out for the wussies that can't stand to watch 'evil' rituals on a wrestling show.

The current UT wouldn't be so bad if they just gave him a new costume. That spandex tank top does not suit him at all. The pants are not very good either. I do like how they're letting him show a little grey in his hair. It's that really badass character that's still alive years later. They just screwed up the most important part of his appearance.

It is really sad to say it but Kurt Angle should retire before he dies in the ring. I couldn't believe he did WM19 in the condition he was in. That took some major balls. Paralysis or even death didn't stop him from putting on a show. You don't suck. You really don't suck, Kurt.

Ministry Undertaker ruled. I remember when he hung Stone Cold into that steel Undertaker symbol in mid air, then when he tried to marry and impregnate Stephanie McMahon, and last but not least when he punished Christian for failing him by hanging him from his arms backstage and whipping the tar outta him with a leash.
