I got a Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse set for Christmas this year and I am looking for some feedback on whether or not these are good.

It's the Cordless Mx Duo.

I'm curious on how good they are for gaming. Does the mouse hold a charge for a long time? Am I going to using my computer some day and have to restart a game from a save or just have to quit for a bit because my mouse needs to charge?
Is there really any worries about stuff like this at all?

I don't think you need to worry. Most likely, you'll notice the need for a charge during normal non-gaming use.

I think you'll find the freedom of being without wires more than compensates for any inconvenience caused by a once-in-a-while battery charge.

The tough part of the decision is that I already have a dual-optical mouse. I had read before that they were more acurate for games etc... I read that two years ago so I'm not sure if it really matters now.

I'd personally return it and get a corded MX for gaming. While cordless stuff continues to improve, there are still some flaws if you need really quick turning for some FPSs, or whatever else you play.

Just exchange it for a high end corded MX. I have an MX510 and it's magnificent.

I have a MX700, and it's some hot shit. No real performance drop in UT2K4 as compared to my old corded optical.
