I missed a lot of great RPG's in my PSX era because I'm in PAL regions --> most of the (good) RPG's never came here

I bought a NTSC PSX from a friend so now I have the abillity to play those great RPGS I missed.

I still have to play/buy the following RPG's recommended by people:

Valkyrie Profile
Xenogears
Vagrant Story (I know this one was released in PAL regions, though.. never had the time to play it)

I didn't put Chrono Cross in that list because I already finished that game when I once borrowed that same friend's PSX.

If there are other great NTSC RPG's I have to play, just tell.

my question is.. do you recommend SaGa Frontier 2 as a game? how's the story? battle system? etc

I liked SaGa Frontier II's story, but I'm not a fan of the SaGa battle system.

The story is amazing and it's a beautiful game (I usually pimp it in any gfx thread it's on of the most gorgeous games evar), but the battle engine is subpar. Some of the big strategy battles were cool and others were just retarded and frustrating. You can probably find it cheap nowadays, right? Looks it goes for around 10 bucks...I say buy it

It was about 30 for me if I recall correctly. And if you haven't already, get SaGa Frontier 1, I consider that one to be better than the 2nd one (and 1 is one of my favorite games period).

Persona 2 didn't make it over here, I believe. Likewise Final Fantasy Tactics, if you like that sort of thing.

SaGa Frontier 2 is really pretty. But I'd only pick it up again if I was REALLY desperate for an RPG to play. It was more meh than bleh.

SFII is okay. The battles get repetitive (and VERY difficult at the end,) but the story makes it worth it

I'm not really into Tactical RPG's, I prefer RPG's with a nice atmosphere and a very good story.. that's what I seek in a (RPG) game

so if the above information helps you to sum some games which you recommend judging by my taste.
