You guys should back off "treason." Treason requires proof of intentionally undermining the United States. When I look at the story, I see people desperate to win.

This is extremely criminal, but I doubt it's ever going to reach the level of "treason."

It goes against all laws of campaign finance to receive assistance from a foreign power. Trump has called for it in the past but now we have full proof it actually occurred.

This is a treasonous offense and all those involved should be removed from their positions. The question is: How far does this extend? The Trumps, Kushner, and Manafort were compicit but who else? Did Pence know? Flynn? Bannon?

Hopefully we see actual repercussions for treason

Wow. So a real drain the swamp if they dig deep enough. I've been wondering why this monster was still sitting in office. I imagine they're building a big case?

Alright.
Full on criminal charges are evident though. He's going down.

How would these people function if Clinton or Obama didn't exist?

They'd have found a Clinton/Obama substitute. The thing is they've already built Clinton/Obama up as the great evil in the shadows and it would take a lot of time and effort to build up other people that their audience would know about.

Wel, considering they're now selling the interests of the country and its allies down the river to earn Russian support... I'd say treason.

Just imagine someone
  • Makes it so the whole country calls you a liar for all eternity
  • Calls your wife ugly
  • Says your dad might have been involved in killing JFK
and then you still support that person like this.

fuck this guy

He literally said in the next tweet that there needs to be a rigorous, transparent investigation to show both parties that it's non-partisan and above-board. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING.

i'm not the biggest Bernie fan, but you are flipping out for no reason. why? these guys are working through a legal system with an ongoing investigation that surely already has these emails. Public outrage is for the citizens, the process needs to be completed in congress.

Bernie has some good ideas, but he is an asshole. He hates Clinton more because of personal reasons than he gives a shit about what is happening to the country. I'm really disappointed in him...

He intentionally undermined the democratic process on which our nation was founded. There is proof he did so. Therefore, he committed treason.

one of Cruz's representatives is meeting with my wife and her boss today. They work for a hospital, they're both liberal. Wife and I talked about how to tell them Repubs AHCA bill directly affects their business and care for patience as they are a largely paid by insurance.

Sent an email to my Senator stating the same thing. No response.

Being desperate to win doesn't disqualify them from committing treason.

I mean. He's right. He's a senator, hes not going to make a judgment call when his fellow senators are running an investigation. Go fuck yourself

Which is why this is referred to as "Stupid Watergate". The players aren't smart enough for treason, but they're certainly criminals.

Also, just in case anyone's wondering...

Fox News certainly isn't on Trump's side here. Been letting it go in the background for an hour now, and while they're still taking shots at Democrats and Obama, they are unequivocally saying that the meeting should not have happened.

One segment just played that was a total takedown (sorry for lack of specifics)
- They shouldn't have been talking to the guy that arranged the meeting
- They shouldn't have taken a meeting with a Russian national
- They - as individuals - shouldn't have done the meeting
- Russia is a hostile nation and this is bad.
- Trump Jr is very foolish for releasing this stuff over Twitter.

That's spinelessness in it's purest form. I wouldn't be surprised if (hell. I hope) his wife has iced him out for the past several months since it seems his manhood is owned by Trump.
