My friend wants me to go to a concert of theirs Friday. I looked up one of their songs on yahoo and it seemed decent, nothing I couldn't bear to listen to for a couple hours. The only reason I'd go is because the peole he was going with all bailed and now hes left with 4 tickets.

So, who has heard of them and what are some of their better songs?
 
My sister was friends with these losers before the band was popular anywhere other than Columbus. She tried so desperately to make me enjoy their album(s?), but all I wanted to do when I was locked in her car listening to O.A.R.'s godawful vocalist sing off key and try to scat was lean over to her steering wheel and drive us into a very thick tree.

Anyway, you'll go to the show and come away with the image that the only people who enjoy O.A.R. are drunk college kids. I mean, that's cool and all. Just don't expect good music.
 
Jesus fucking tapdancing Christ. All I ever heard blaring across East Green my last year of college was these fuckers.

It made me long for the days my freshman year when all I heard in the dorm was Wu Tang and Dave Matthews.

Columbus has a lot of shitty bands.
 
I like "Crazy Game of Poker". It takes a few listens, but it grows on you. The local College station (Ashland) plays it all the time.
 
I've liked everything I heard from them. I was supposed to see them in concert last year but the kid with the tickets left without us.

Crazy Game of Poker and When I'm Home are my two favorites. Good drinking songs.
 
My neighbors swear by them. I heard a song or two in the car a few days ago. Not too bad, but just not me. Give me 80's music over that.
 
I really did enjoy them in concert. Not much of a show but the music was solid. The bands that opened for them SUCKED BEYOND MEASURE. Southland and "Oarfans" or something.

"We have two more songs then we're going to get OAR out here!"

*Crowd goes absolutely wild because these guys suck so bad*
