So I just got back from seeing the Arcade Fire at the Paramount Theatre here in Seattle. Like any show that the Arcade Fire puts on, it was full of energy on the stage. They played a pretty good set, did a Bowie cover, some fighting on stage (during laika with two band members), and just pretty good. All this is cool, accept for the two bitches sitting right in front of me who decided to stand during 90% of the show!!! This is on the second floor, where seats are!! Do people really need to dance, especially if the entire section around you is sitting down!! Oh the people around me, and myself told these girls off. They were ruining like 10 people's view, and they were like 'I'm not sitting down, you should be dancing!' Ugggg!!! I'm happy I've seen the Arcade Fire before (in a much smaller venue), so I didn't feel super cheated, but I can only think what others who are seeing for the first time, and then get to watch some ugly ass chicks try to dance to the music. It wasn't even good dancing either!!
But anywho, it was a good show. One cool thing they did was their 'funeral procession' down the steps, through the aisle, and out to the lobby where they just kept on playing for 15 minutes. All acoustic, just kinda humming and singing long notes. It was pretty cool.
no photos, since I was on the second floor.
Oh, and Wolf Parade was awesome!! I wish I could go see them tomorrow night, but I don't think I can do two shows in the middle of finishing a launch game
