$20 for Doom 3 sounds like a pretty damn good deal to me. If your PC can run it well, it's a fun (if not simple) FPS-horror romp. And it will certainly last you longer than Halo 2, although it's definitely not proportionally equal in the quality versus quantity sense. Just be sure to get the Hello Kitty flashlight mod for the maximum pants-shitting experience. :lol
My computer CANNOT run Doom 3. It can't run WoW, or Pirates, or Half-Life 2. Yet I know own all four (CEs and LEs where applicable) for the collection, you understand.
Doom 3 won't be cheaper than $20 for a long time, so it was a good time to get it. And I didn't have to brave a line.

Memorex DVD-R 25 pack $7.99 (CompUSA), this was an insanely great deal, and there was no limit on how many you could get. $0.32 per DVD-R off-brand would be amazing, and while memorex wouldn't have been my first choice, at this price it was a steal.

I tagged along with the folks and we went to Wal-Mart around 5am.
There was quite a line!
So I guess there were these radio folk giving out donuts and coffee, so I simply hopped in line and got a couple donuts and some warm coffee. Boy were the others pissed.
I didn't really buy anything, but I constantly walked around waving the PC game "The Teachings of Jesus", flaunting about how Christmas was good this year! And there was the usual "is this the line to the restroom?" when I was in a clogged area. What a way to cheer the folks up! I also told everyone how there was quite a sale on bras.
I saw like 10 Nintendo DS just sitting there, with everyone else going for the $40 GBAs (I grabbed a couple for the youngin's). After that, it was off to Toys R Us where I bought GTA Advance and went home!

Er, wait. I bought the PS2 version - didn't notice that the boxart I had sitting around was of the Xbox version. ^^; Check EB for it; they should have one or two copies. I don't know when the Xbox version is due out, but the PS2 version is $10.MoxManiac said:
