also from TV Guide.com it is about Lois becoming a model, and Peter does not like it....so it is not only about Stewie and Brian

Hopefully this one wont be as batshit insane as the last...it's got a good premise, although it's similar to that old episode where Peter opens a bar in the basement.

that was ok. not bad, but not hilarious. the cookie monster stuff was the best :lol

I agree. The cookie dough on the spoon in the bathroom made me spit out my soda I was laughing so hard. :lol

that scend where lois was telling everyone she was going to the vogue party and about all the hot girls that are gonna be there, and you hear quagmire just yell out "giggidy"

I was laughing my ass off,

and the cookie monster shit with the cookie dough was priceless.

Pretty funny. Not as good as last week's, but I still laughed. The rehab Cookie Monster was hilarious, especially when he was found in the bathroom burning cookie dough with a match. And the whole Peter on ecstacy. :lol

I like the evil monkey skits when they do something new like this, but really, no more Greased-Up Deaf Guy. I don't like them capitalizing on one-off characters like him (like what The Simpsons did to Disco Stu).

Also, did any notice that Mr. Putashmet (or whatever) sounds a lot like Stan from American Dad? It's the same tone but a little raspier.

Family Guy doesn't seem any less funny to me this new season. The cookie monster bit was great. I also laughed a lot about the Jodie foster appearance. I wonder how many people got that one?

"Meg just had her period and I'm really proud of her!!"

"Yes Peter that's really hot and I'll deal with it in the morning, but I'm trying to get some sleep now!" Quagmire never ceases to have me rolling. :lol

...and was I alone in screaming hell yes when Peter knocked Lois's dad the fuck out? He's been putting up with his shit forever. +1000 for Peter

I liked the Maxell "big speaker blowing the guy in the chair away" bit, but I dunno, it's not THAT funny and they still spend a good 10 seconds on it... :P

But the Peter on xtc bit was hilarious!

The Maxwell bit was scene for scene of a commercial from the 80's....

Hey, kinda offtopic, but I was wondering, what ever happened to Cleaveland (sp?) Junior? I mean, he was two episodes (perhaps more, been a while since I last saw older seasons) but he's never been spotted later on? I thought he was kinda funny, especially after you learn how Cleaveland became so slow.

Peter has provided some classic musical moments this series, first ROCK LOBSTER, then the 4 Peters in this episode had me in stitches.

"Lets have sex on his back, like we used to in the old days"

That had me rollin....

Did anyone watch American Dad? Was it new? Was it Funny?

American Dad episode was the pilot.

"Stewie...Stewie, your head is so...so small...how you....how you doing that? How you doing that? Ohhhh these clooooothes..."

Some things I've noticed about the new family guys:

- The writers seem to be trying to get Lois as nude as possible lately, and it's starting to get a little weird. The last couple of Lois episodes were fairly WTF. Like Marge has been lately.

- "Lets try to get a drug reference or two in each episode!" This episode had 3 [Cookie Monster, "That time I tried Exstacy", and Evil-Monkey], Episode 9 had "When I did Cocaine with Carl Mulden", Episode 8 had ipecac overdose, Episode 6 had the cheese guy smoking crack, one of the earlier ones had the Future-Stewie smoking pot..

Not that some of these bits aren't funny, but it's feeling a bit formulamatic, like they've got a tick box for what they must try and add each episode.

Where the hell is American Dad? Sure, the fish is stupid, but I've enjoyed AD much more than FG this season.

:lol @ Peter throwing Meg out the house

edit: It's a thread about the movie if you SEARCH

Yeah I already found the actual movie and I was too lazy to do a search so I was just asking if it was the real deal. This is a family guy thread after all.

Definitely the best episode of the season so far. It was consistently funny throughout, instead of having moments of brilliance shining through more mediocre sections.

So harsh on Meg too... :lol

Peter: "Hey can I call you Webster?"
CJ: "That's the line!"
:lol

Beyond that, I never really liked CJ and I hated Loretta. Her voice was probably one of the single worst black impersonations I've ever heard in my life, same for CJ for the most part. I hope neither one of those two come back.
