1080i ? How could the PS2 handle a 1920*1080*32bits framebuffer ? Even a 1920*540*32 would be almost impossible.maskrider said:Just learnt that the spec of GT4 mentions 480p and 1080i output, and checked the official Japanese site at
http://www.playstation.jp/scej/title/gt4/main.html
(select About and select the 3rd item under the About bar)
5.1 surround, 480p and 1080i were included in the list of outputs.
It will be the first game on PS2 to support 1080i if it really is.

If true, I bow down to the geniuses at Polyphony Digital !
Yeah I was thinking about this too, it would make sense. Could someone able to read japanese go to the official site (about / 3rd choice) ?maskrider said:I hope it is not only limited to the photo mode.

Actually, 1080i IS a 1920x540 (remember, it's interlaced) or 1440x540.1080i ? How could the PS2 handle a 1920*1080*32bits framebuffer ? Even a 1920*540*32 would be almost impossible.

Marconelly said:I got 17/20. Some of the pics are near impossible to guess as they don't show enough. As for the 'dull look', well, some of the actual photos look a lot duller than the game shots in this comaprision.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but some of those photos look pretty dull themselves. The photos have a bit more contrast. The lighter values are brighter and the blacks are darker. The range inbetween isn't as strong.
"Born Too Slow" alone is better than all of the BO3 soundtrack combinedIs SCEA trying to compete with EA for the prize of WORST LICENSED SOUNDTRACK EVER?
