DJ Brannon said:FUCK Alundra; Landstalker is of good nobility and you won't go wrong playing it. That Time Stalkers/Climax Landers game... it never existed.
IT NEVER EXISTED.
Forget "hailed as." It was one of the PSX's top RPGs. Plot and translation, while not exactly literary genius, were far more involving than any given Zelda installment, and the gameplay was ace.Wollan said:Wasn't Alundra hailed as a great game? I remember it getting 9 out of 10 and stuff here in Europe.
The Shadow said:As crazy as it sounds, I'd buy a PSP just to play this game.
Can't do the rest as I don't even consider Alundra II to be an Alundra game. I guess you'll have to play Alundra to see why people think thisDJ Brannon said:I only played part II so take whatI said and
it's a remakeGreenpanda said:Wow, somehow I missed the Landstalker-on-PSP news entirely. Is this going to be a port or a brand new game?
Also, before this thread degenerates into a Landstalker vs. Alundra battle, I'm not sure why one has to rule and the other suck ... they're both great games IMO![]()

I could swear I remember GameFan saying it was back in the day...
Father_Brain said:Nope, Equinox (and its predecessor, Solstice) was developed by a European team. It does look and feel Japanese, though.
BTW, what exactly was LadyStalker (worst title ever) for SFC?
Said like a man who's never touched Majora's Mask. Alundra's great, and in many ways better than Zelda... but not in these ways really.jgkspsx said:Plot and translation, while not exactly literary genius, were far more involving than any given Zelda installment,
You can thank Sony for that actually... they forced Matrix to shackle the Alundra name to Alundra 2. Up until late in development it was going to have a different title entirely.jgkspsx said:Too bad Activision shat its good name right down the toilet with the "sequel."
It was a quasi-LandStalker sequel by the same team. Not as good but still decent, Taito published it iirc... it was also the team's last game at Climax before leaving to form Matrix.Father_Brain said:BTW, what exactly was LadyStalker (worst title ever) for SFC?
Oh, I've touched it, it just crashes my Gamecube constantlyjarrod said:Said like a man who's never touched Majora's Mask. Alundra's great, and in many ways better than Zelda... but not in these ways really.
