apparently in ncaa 2006 dynasty mode there is a bad sim glitch where 45 QB's have completion percentages over 70% and a bunch have QB ratings higher than 200 (which has never happened once in real life, the highest ever was shaun king, dm's hero). this consequently affects dynasty AND run for the heisman because it is difficult to beat out a qb who has a stat line like this (actual statline coming up from the game):
matt leinart:
230/293, 3,778 yards, 48 TD's

On the field, the game is close to being as good as it gets. To answer the question everyone wants to know, yes, the short passing game and receiving in general has been fixed...for the most part. Receivers are much more likely to make catches in traffic and to not drop the bullet passes from top gun QBs. With that out of the way, the rest of the gameplay remains intact. The home field advantage feature introduced in NCAA Football 2005 is back in full effect, but it isn't as game breaking as it was last year.
After all is said and done, NCAA Football 2006 definitely delivers on the field and is very much the best playing installment in the franchise. And though the game has a couple of shortcomings that really hold it back from realizing its true potential, it's a welcome improvement over last year's flawed attempt and is a must-purchase for crazed college football fanatics, hardcore football fans in general, and those looking for a change a pace from traditional NFL fare.

Good review. You show a more in-depth knowledge of the game than any of the reviews that I've read so far, including Operation Sports. My only gripe is probably out of your control, but there's no way that you can properly review a game such as this without at least a solid month of play including many 2-player, online, and dynasty sessions. These topics are barely mentioned in the review. Kudos on mentioning the stat glitch. That's the kind of detail that you NEVER find in magazine/major website reviews.
Recommended by me.

Nice review, CK. Did a good job of balancing both the good and bad for NCAA 06.

Funny you bring him up. garrison hearst. how many yards did he rush for All last season with the bronco's? 80? hahaha He only had 1 real stand out year with the 9ers when he rushed for 1500 yards. Other than that its been 1000 yards or less and it seems any mediocre back now and days can rush atleast for 1000 given a good o-line.
FrenchMovieTheme said:look @ those numbers. 1206 coming off a potential career ending injury. ALWAYS averaging good numbers, even while splittling time with barlow in 2002/2003. and this is to say nothing of his incredible blocking abilities on the blitz. he is still bar none the best rb blocker i have seen in sometime when it comes to picking up the blitz
