ok so i have this video that wont play sound. the properties doesnt list an audio codec, and when i start it, wmp attempts to download a codec but fails. so i used abcAVI tag editor and it said it used the ogg vorbis audio codec. so i finally found the codec and i have to install it myself and i tried opening the video and all i get now is sratching noises.

any help? tips?

Is it an Autechre video?

You could try downloading winamp and playing it through that. It should install ogg supprt cleanly.
