I agree with that list, I have seen Charlie and the Choclate Factory, Wedding Crashers, and Bad News Bears, all great movies, wish BNB would rank higher then The Island and Fantastic 4, it is a really funny movie, and it has Greg Fucking Kinner....

What an amazing drop for Wedding Crashers. It might not catch 'There's Something about Mary' as the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time, but it's probably going to fall into the #2 spot.

At $9000 per screen... that's a big number in this field...

BATMAN!

Holy shit @ Wedding Crashers! The word of mouth really planted the movie into its spot. The drop is barely a dent, compared to most other drop offs we've seen this summer. I guess you could also chalk it up to some really shitty movies released this week.

Yes, we all know you have a hardon for Wedding Crashers, but how can you claim everything released this week was shit, have you see anything released this week???
BNB is a great comedy, Billy Bob Thorton has really perfected that jerk asshole character, like he played in Bad Santa.I like Wedding Crasher aswell but are funny movies, but diffrent types of of funny

Really nice number for March of the Penguins-making it into the top 10 with less than 700 screens total. I hope they can get a bit more screens in the future, the movie is really great and getting something like 1,200-1,300 would allow it to make some decent cash (though the real money on that title, like the stellar Winged Migration, will be in the DVD sales).

this is a direct result of his refusal to allow Scarlett to show her boobs. I refuse to see this movie becaue of it.

Time for Scarlett to pose for Playboy. Okay, I'll compromise for a Maxim/Stuff/FHM shoot.

No compromise. Playboy or full on porn.

That's cute and all, but Bad News Bears is getting rather panned with critics. Thus, this is a shitty weekend for releases. Stealth, Hustle & Flow, and BNB...crap, crap, and just barely crap: overall = crap

If crap = 1. And barely crap = 3, then 1+1+3=5 divided by 3 = Crap.66666666666667

Crap is crap, no matter how you cut it....it's still crap.

It's only a matter of time for Scarlett. She was willing to go topless in the Island. She'll be nude in one of her next few movies.

FYI - the lowest drop in the Top Ten belongs to Batman!!

Let's go over the many things that make you an idiot right now.

First of all, you're deciding which movies are shitty based on reviews. See, I saw the Island and it was a fun action movie. BNB, I haven't seen, but I hear good things from people who have.

Second of all, your little "WELL IT'S GETTING BAD REVIEWS SO IT MUST BE BAD LOLOL" shit falls apart when you look at the the fact that Hustle & Flow, a movie which you said was shitty (that you haven't seen), is getting GOOD reviews. Great reviews, actually.

Third of all, Stealth didn't open this weekend, it opens next weekend. Nice try though.

I saw the Island last night... I'm not sure why the hate... it's a typical Bay action movie.. if you like those, you'll like it... funny thing is.. watching it I think it was advertised incorrectly.

If more of the trailers had featured more of the action sequences I think it would have had a bigger take.

Owned. :lol

Very impressed by Wedding Crashers. Maybe because I wasn't around during the time when it would have been promoted, so it seems like a sleeper hit to me.

I thought Hustle and flow would do alot better.

Its only in a thousand theatres, and the budget was like 2 mill. Its doing fine. Hopefully there will be a nationwide release.

Haha. You're right. I was thinking of The Island and confused it with Stealth. And I didn't even notice that Hustle and Flow had an 81. I thought I saw a 42 right next to it, but that was for The Island. =D

I'll be leaving this thread, now.

Go Wedding Crashers! Fight off all the crap!

ROCK ON BATS, ROCK YOU SEXAY MUTHAFUCKA!!

Batman Begins is definitely going to pass Go and collect 200. :)

Batman and Wedding Crashers, wow! Drops were barely there at all. Keep on truckin. Definitely gonna land the #3 spot domestically, 3rd to reach 200... Actually, already is #3 domestiscally. Worldwide meanwhile... Hitch is in front of it, pushing it back to the 4th spot. Top 10:

Howl's Moving Castle's numbers are hilariously absurd.

I thought it was worldwide. Not bad for limted then. Thank god its at my theather so Ill be checkin it out tomrmow.

Wow...Hitch did a lot better than I thought. Those are really high numbers.

Nice to see Wedding Crashers doing so well. It really is fucking awesome. I tell everyone I know to go see it, and everyone I know that's seen it thinks it was amazing. Awesome to see Batman doing so well too.

I saw the Island on friday and I thought it was a really good popcorn flick.

I chose not to see Wedding Crashers because it looks like it's the exact same movie that Vince Vaughn has been making for the last 5 years. Am I wrong?

Don't believe the budget on the Island, trust me they got paid a TON for all the product placement, I wouldnt be suprised in the end if the budget was only 75-80 million.

It's Japan's GTA/Halo. Insanely big over there, and even relatively big around the world, and we give it what? Nearly 5 million only to it's total. And it's still near the top.

Miyazaki and his Studio Ghibli is a lol like Japan's Spielberg/Lucas and Pixar all rolled into one. He's highly respected, highly populist in his stories, and his animation has broad reach that get adults and kids to the theatres.

I thought Batman was moving. Maybe it's my love of Batman and seeing it unfold on screen, but it had quite a few chill moments. The beginning when the theme first hits and the kids are running alone got to me, knowing what was to happen.

You are telling me when Batman's parents were murdered you werent moved? You have NO heart!

:(

I feel for batman and all, but in the movie I wasn't too moved by his parent's death. Moreso when he went home to Alfred and started crying. THEN I was moved. How could you even give a damn about the characters of the parents? The dad was ok but a wimp, and the mother didn't have one freaking line other than to repeat something the dad said outside the theater.

I saw Wedding Crashers again today, and the theater was just as packed today as it was like Saturday when I first saw the flick! I'd say it was about 80 percent full!
