Anyone watching the reveal of the Olympic Emblem? I want Brian Williams back now, and this whole thing reeks of lame. They're dancing! They had really annoying speeches! Cirque de Soleil does dances in the Olympic rings and the Trumpets are blaring every 5 minutes it seems.

Any thoughts?

No offense to any Native Americans on the board (are there any?), and I knew Vancouver/Western Canada has the whole Inuuk or whatever mantra going on, but does that really represent Vancouver?

They won the Olympic coverage over CBC for the 2010 Olympics (and I think 2008 too or something), so they're going to go nuts with letting everyone know and being a part of every step of the process.

Ah. Well hell, isn't that par for the course with the Olympics? We all know it's one of the most overdone parties on the face of the earth. CBC couldn't get away with something like that cause they'd be doing so on our dime (insert sponsorship scandal joke here). It's CTV's money here, so let 'em piss it away with logo unveiling shows or whatever if that's what makes 'em feel good.

I believe the contract is for 2010 and 2012, I believe that CBC has the coverage for Beijing.
