Old school Mexican music is up their with Heavy Metal music.

Days like these...

Have a Blessed Day
Some choice subjects are death, dying, wishing to never have been born, ripping someone's heart out for stealing your girl and gladly turning yourself in afterwards and done in very matter of fact way not in a check me out I'm a badass kind of way.

He is Spanish

Desperado

Mariachi (Antonio Banderas) plunges headfirst into the dark border underworld when he follows a trail of blood to the last of the infamous Mexican drug lords, Bucho (Joaquim de Almeida), for an action-packed, bullet-riddled showdown. With the help of his best friend (Steve Buscemi) and a beautiful bookstore owner (Salma Hayek), the Mariachi tracks Bucho, takes on his army of desperados, and leaves a trail of blood of his own.

Threads like these make my question your nationality. 😀

If this about mariachi music then I am game.

Mexico, and latin america/south america has some great heavy metal. From the classics like Sepultura and Transmetal to the newer bands like The Warning.

Where the fuck are the links, pendejo? I need a break from sad-listening to Black Sabbath.
I guarantee this won't make you feel better. You might as well drink a whole bottle of Tequila. Killed his gf for cheating on him and he'll gladly turn himself in as soon as he rips the heart out of the guy who made him kill his own girlfriend. That is crazy business. Do not recommend.

I like how there is a whole genre of music (narcocorrido) dedicated to the cartels
Is it that much different than "thug life" rap?

Hell, I'm sure there are swing bands, honky-tonk, and certainly jazz glamorizing Al Capone and bootlegging back in the 1920's. Tale as old as time.

Seeing how they bang on those guitars makes me wonder if that's just the wrong instrument to make the type of music they want to play. To me it's like the Dune sand walking technique of irregular steps to avoid attracting a sand worm. Playing that way somehow disrupts the harmony and fails to appeal to me. Very technically impressive though.

LOL it sounds like your more annoyed at the visuals than the actual music. Try just listening to it. I love these 2. I just saw the thread title and immediately thought of these 2. I haven't listened to these 2 for quite some time and noticed they had a newer track on youtube. It sounded very basic and boring compared to the track I linked.

It's not the visuals, its just the rhythm or beat set up of that type of music. I prefer a different style of guitar is all.

The game Crackdown turned me on to the band Molotov, from where I learned the Mexican term of endearment 'pinche gringo puñetero'.
