Yeah really cool movie. I really loved the bit with the hypnotist at the end, it was so tragic.

My friend afterwards 'That's the first Japanese movie I've seen'. For which he was mercilessly teased, and now every non-English movie is Japanese.

I haven't heard else anything about the American remake, other than they are doing one. No actors attached to it yet, as far as I'm aware.

yea great movie, I watched it because of the GAF favorite asian movies thread.
Next up I suggest Infernal Affairs.
Apparently it was based off a manga so there is a Japanese connection

Infernal Affairs owns. Supposedly Nic Cage is up for the role, with Thomas Jane as the villian. No way the twist makes it into the remake.
