OMG, The Blacklist

Holy shit...

So, out of desperation, I finally decided to give it a chance. I had tried in the past, and didn't get more than a few minutes through. But as I watched, I said to myself, it's possible, that at the end of episode, it will reveal itself to be some kind staged exercise by the various departments.

But...nope.

It is perhaps the most shockingly f****ing awful show I've ever watched. And the main actress is so f***ing bad.

I was able to power through the entire first episode simply because, regardless of the content around him, James Spader can be very funny and entertaining just by being James Spader.

Holy shit, this is actually a very popular show somehow.

It has to be me. I'm obviously impaired in some way that doesn't allow me to see the value of this series.

Oh, I liked Spader in this. A lot. His introduction in this is awesome.

But yes, Lizzie is NOT that great of a "main" character. At all.

I watched most of the first season, for most of the people that Spader went against, I didn't get why they were so bad to be on Spader's blacklist that he's going out of his way to get them. (other than a few, but like 60% is just your regular upper criminal)

All the popular clips I see on youtube seem to be after s1 though.

I gave it a season or so. I didn't like it much either.

Person of Interest is decent if you want something watchable in (what I'd consider) a similar 'not too serious' brain off category.

Person of Interest, the premise is so ridiculous. As if AI will be used to surveil and control our every move, c'mon.

Meh the show is definitely entertaining. for the first few seasons with reddington carrying the show on his back. That said when the check dies or leaves the show or whatever... i lost interest and never looked back.

I remember a friend raving about the show saying it was like the best thing he'd seen. I started the first episode and it felt so low in quality that I thought he must have been joking. The writing is so painfully mediocre.

I remember watching the first season and realizing it's going to be another network show running for multiple seasons and trying to think of crazy twists to keep it going. Judging by how it ended I don't think I was far off and saved a lot of time on more interesting shows. And it's a shame because I liked the main duo and their chemistry.
