Only one person not receiving my text messages.

Hey all.

I have an HTC One V phone through Virgin Mobile. Always worked fine, no issues.

Today I guess I reached some kind of texting ceiling with my girlfriend, and our SMS thread reached 5000+ messages. I could not load up any texts at all, it would just stick at the 'loading' screen.

I finally managed to get that entire thread deleted to where I could text again, but now she is not receiving any of my texts, whereas everyone else in my contacts are not having any problems getting them.

I've tried restarting the phone, deleting the thread and trying again, deleting her contact info and just sending texts to her number alone, to no avail, nothing is working.

Any advice or fixes for something like this?

Thanks. much appreciated.

Yes, sorry, I should've said make sure she doesn't have your number blocked. My gf manages to do it to people by mistake on her s3 all the time (don't ask).

I can't have her clear the thread yet because she wants to back it up for sentimental purposes, and I need to help her do that.

So it'll have to wait until tomorrow, hope it works. =/

Bro, I can't help but I feel your pain. Bought a One V about 6 months ago and it's been nothing but shit ever since.

Apps crash, sometimes they take minutes to open, notifications are unreliable. SLOW AS A MOTHER FUCKER. Like, I know it's a prepaid phone but it's slower than phones I've tried that cost 1/3 of it's price. It's unreasonably slow to the point I think perhaps just my phone is defective.

My last HTC, ever. So, no solution here but total fucking empathy. The texting app is such an abomination that I've switched over to Facebook messenger completely.

Man, fuck the One V. Fuck it to death, in front of it's family.

This happened to me and it was all on my friend's side, I'm not sure if it was some settings on the phone or network side but he fixed it somehow.

The weird thing is she's still able to send me texts just fine, and I get them.

So it's something on my end, and I can't figure it out. =/

Everyone else gets your messages and its on your end?

Doesn't sound right to me. Have her delete you from contacts and see if a text comes in.

I guess I just assumed it would be on my end, since I was the one screwing around with my phone today and having issues, and for her it's just been business as usual.

When we get the thread backed up tomorrow I'll have her delete me and see what happens.
