In the sake of improving organized labor in the US. Man. The left is so fucking stupid sometimes.

"If we don't all hang together, we will most assuredly all hang seperately." Or words to that effect. Who said that? Who knows. Not me, not at three in the goddamn morning and staring the implosion of the USA's largest organized labor group in the face... it's an ugly feeling. Somewhere, some cretinous toad is sitting back and thinking how much more money he's gonna be able to make off of this stupidity, and union membership will continue to fall, pay discrepancies will continue to grow and the standard of living might soon be as bad as Canada or God forbid even Russia, where the only things that make money are crime, sex, and crimes with sex.

Fuck it. The American Dream is so dead.

Hold it right there Mr. Run on sentence. What kind of ignorant trash talking is that?

Shhh... it's late, I'm drunk and fearful. What do you want? It's impolite for even me to make fun of the British right now.

yeah, the "American Dream" is so inherently tied up with the continued control and allegiance to one centralized union organization... Your rambling is nothing but unfounded fear-mongering.

For anyone else who would like to at least look at another side of things (not that I support them).

It goes both ways. The lower/middle class that also happens to be very republican lost it's idea of the "American Dream" as well. Shouting off pro-economic bullshit like you're some millionare while you get your $8.00 an hour at Walmart or $40,000/yr as a teacher isn't really going to benefit you at all. :D

I'm an organizer with SEIU. The "split" has been the worst kept secret since BEFORE Bush won re-election. I've never been pro leaving the AFL-CIO, but shit needs to get shaken up before labor dies. If everything continues hunky-dory and assholes union presidents like Buffenbarter from the Machinists continue to ignore the problems facing the working and middle classes and use members' dues money on fucking Lear jets than there is no "labor movement", just a number of corporatist organizations giving in on contracts...

The American Dream never existed. It was just a way for more unnecessary shit to be bought.

If people would realize they don't need new cars, up to date cellular phones, HDTVs and new gaming consoles, America, fuck it, the world would be much better. We wouldn't be drowning in credit card debt, we wouldn't be shackled to jobs where we have to work constantly, even after you leave from work. We wouldn't have to be worried about living paycheck to paycheck when you have so many bullshit luxuries that you could be living large if you got rid of even half of the shit you own.

End of rant.

Nah, the American Dream was really about upward mobility- that if you were born poor, you didn't necessarily have to DIE poor. Well guess what- now you do. And if you're born middle class, you're probably gonna die poor.

You going to explain your jackass comment about Canada?

True, but at least I still haven't pissed off the border collies and random dudes in bars. I hear they're fiercer.

I can help you with that. Ok, go up far north, go into a bar, and then ask: Are there any Eskimo's here? :lol :lol

I'll help you with the medical bills if you do and if you video tape it. :lol

Raoul Duke, may a thousand beavers attack you soulessly and rip you apart ! You have enraged us Canadians !

And Polar Bears. Don't forget about the Polar Bears!

You have shown your true colours Raoul. If you ever hand an exam in to me 22 seconds late, you are sooooooo getting a failing grade. And expelled. Oh, and no Canadian Maple syrup. Harsh I know, but you have to learn.

And the evidence of this is found where exactly? Surely you must have some legitimate source material to back this up.
