If I wasn't going to be without a laptop during the time NepReb 2 comes out, I'd volunteer. Hopefully someone else will care enough to make those threads.

Metroid Prime Trilogy VC Re-Release by Verger (January 23rd 2015)


I consulted with Steve Youngblood and he indicated it wouldn't be an issue to create a new OT for this given that the old OT hasn't had a post since 2013 and hasn't really been active since 2010. Plus I feel the exposure for the Trilogy being given such a highly promoted rerelease at a great price point for a limited time will earn it many new players. Since no one has claimed this, I suppose I'll take it? I've not done this before so I'm open to any suggestions or recommendations if anyone's willing to help(title, information, etc...).
If I understand the new rules correctly, OTs should be put up on release day right?

EDIT: Can't make threads cause I'm a Junior, sorry for the error.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure mods won't lock it if you put it up the night before or whatever (if you think you'll be busy when the game is made available).

I don't think junior members can make new threads. You can ask someone to put it up for you though.

IMO Juniors shouldn't reserve OTs .

If he ever gets banned, that would most likely be a perma. And if you're committing an OT, posting 300 posts shouldn't be a problem.

As others have said junior members are unable to make threads. They are more than welcome to collaborate with someone who can though.

Do agree with the notion that claims are to be made only by members who can actually make threads.

Anybody doing a Super Mario Bros 30th Anniversary thread? I'm not volunteering. But was just wondering if anyone is thinking about it. September 2015 is the 30th Anniversary of the original Japanese Famicom release.

still planning on doing the jp developed dungeon crawler thread just got some things to try and secure first. should be a good time since no new releases here till april.

was waiting for stranger of sword city to come out first which it did.

I will volunteer if MRORANGE is unable to do it, I was thinking about grabbing the OT anyway if nobody would claim it so I'd be happy to.

But I don't really know what the procedure is when a OT claimer doesn't show up. Has anyone tried to contact him yet? I'll shoot him a PM now just in case, and see if he responds. It's strange that he hasn't posted in a week and delayed his other Steam project without posting an ETA, but has been online on the board frequently. I hope nothing bad has happened. You know, Life can be Strange... (sorry)

I think just pull the trigger on the OT. The game is out, people will want to discuss the episode and share their impressions. It's pretty depressing to see the review thread is being used as the default OT for now...

Yeah, I'm working on it now, should be up soon.

Hope that it's okay with mods :(.

I know that it hasn't been "officially" revealed yet, but is it okay if I put in my bid for Metal Gear Rising 2 considering it's definitely in development following the tease at the Taipei Gaming Show?

If not then it's totally cool; I'll just wait until the game gets a proper trailer an/or release date.

It has to have a release window within the year, not just be announced. That's the current procedure.
