Hey guys, I just got this game and ran into something weird.

I have the xboxen hooked up with the HD-pack w/ optical and running 480p. I get the sound of the car engine and other cars, but no music whatsoever. (demo screens, music selection, gameplay) How can I remedy this?

That's weird. Are you using optical out or stereo?

I'm using the optical out to my receiver and the receiver indicates dolby digital. I'm stumped.

I'm getting all the in-game sound... except for music...

how old is the xbox?

Just got it 3 weeks ago.. it has the phillips drive in it. (holiday pack w/ Top Spin & Amped2)

Maybe you got a faulty disc. I also have HD Pack and use the fiber connector with no problems.

Things to check...

Dashboard: Make sure you have DD, DTS, and Pro Logic enabled

UPDATE: Yep it WAS a faulty disc... damn, I seem to have a knack for getting faulty discs.

I still have my faulty Sonic Adventure game for Dreamcast. It was apparently from the first run of copies that had surface defects. Yay is me!

Anyway, this game is tits.
