YerrrrpIt's Owlcat. Just buy it.
i expect a way better / darker story from dark heresy game than rogue trader
The Expanse.
Like the TV show?
I believe so. That's what people on the youtube comments seem to think it is. I wouldn't be surprised. It's a popular book series, TV show, and has had some minor videogames already.
It's Owlcat. Just buy it.
Also Owlcat has the whole DLC thing figured out. They have a very interesting post launch price structure that has to do with after launch support and DLCs that ends up always getting at least full price out of me even if the game is a little older. It's a good system and it promotes them to work hard to keep earning full price from sales of a game that isn't brand new by providing value. It also works well on rental services as the DLC creates a FOMO that along with a super personal game like these are, you end up happy to buy it. Good stuff.
My guess? After seeing thier rivals at Larian make BG3, they want some of THAT.I wonder if this the UE5 "AAA" game they posted job openings for some time ago.
Not exactly sure what going AAA would mean for Owlcat games. To get sales that justifies that kind of budget they'd need to target the mainstream.
But who knows, maybe they'll find that golden middle ground between depth/mechanics and accessibility.
I've loved all their games so far, so they have my trust.
Even though I supported them whenever I get the chance, I'm personally getting irritated by the DLC philosophy. The biggest factor is they release their story DLCs too late. If you want to experience a full game from Owlcat, you need to wait 4 or 5 years. It's Owlcat. Just buy it.

I'm interestedThe Expanse. Wish it was Starfinder.
I still haven't bought Rogue Trader because I'm waiting for the game to be complete.Even though I supported them whenever I get the chance, I'm personally getting irritated by the DLC philosophy. I'm irritated about this because they really release near master level cRPGs. I wanna play them as soon as possible but with their "DLC road" I cannot play them. So my desire for their games dimmed a lot.
Whenever they announce or release a game I will wake my mind 4-5 years later to buy and play it. With that way I don't have to stress about it.
I am leaning forward with interest.i expect a way better / darker story from dark heresy game than rogue trader
dark heresy is full blown grimdark
