Five dollars each! You know what to do! ^_^

Pah, these games are long gone at the EB's near me. I even bought Gamestop's last copy of PN03 about a month ago. Cost me 20 bucks, though.

If I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in Network Transmission, is it worth the $5? It's not that I hate Mega Man or anything, I just thought the game was supposed to suck. But is it a "not worth $5" kind of suck?

It's fine, but confusing. It took the gameplay mechanics of the classic Megaman and added the higher level mechanics from the Battle Network titles into a difficult action-based classic-style Megaman game.
If you've never played the classics OR Battle Network, stay away as you'll be confused as all hell. Otherwise, you'll love it.

i'll have to look for network transmission. i didn't like it when i rented it -- the whole battle chip thing seemed clumsy and stupid, though maybe it'd make more sense if i'd played the gba battle network games -- but it's 2d and it's action, so i'm interested by default.

The levels in NT have a nice old-school MM flava, but the chip system completely breaks boss battles. You basically have to die intentionall and hope to restart with the correct weapon chips if you have any hope of beating the bosses.

No you don't. You can usually win with a certain chip type that you set as your default. The worst thing you have to do is sit outside the boss gate and discard chips until you have the grouping that you want. I frequently just set my dash or sword chip to default and won with that.

The game certainly doesn't suck, but if you don't like classic Megaman or Battle Network, then your chances of liking it do go down.

im gonna have to check out EBs tommorow. I'd gladly throw these games on my trade in collection. PN03 and Megaman...prepare to FEEL THE RUSH!
