The Kindle Fire makes a lot of sense, because in a way it's a trojan to get them to do educational shit and reading in addition to the fun stuff. The nice thing about the Fires is that you can actually set up time limits for each type of activity. It's really pretty sweet.
They're going pretty fast, it's hard to find for a reasonable price (though this thread did cause me to look and find it for 39 dollars! ahaha!)

Yeah little ones are ace in the hols, perfect excuse to go and chill with them out of the way of the craziness if they need a feed/change/nap. My youngest will be 2month on Christmas.*high five*
