my remote just died for my pc. And even though i never used the damn thing i wouldnt mind getting another one as long as there are some features i could use with it. I've been reading up on the ATI remote wonder 2 and it seems like it does a lot. But only with programs from ATI at least thats the way it looks.

I really would want to use the remote with firefox and winamp. It would be bad ass to surft the web from my remote and what not. I've never used this remote so maybe i'm wrong in thinking that this unit might be of some good to me.

I also want to know if there is any programs out there for old DOS games to use a controler with instead of the keys. I tried Joy2Key but i could never figure out how to make it work. Maybe its cause i'm running windows or something i have no clue. But it would be nice to figure out.

My major problem is i've got a failing HDD and i need to get the information off of it. Problem is that its only working half the time and since it has windows on it my system gets confused and boots from the working drive... and never shows the failing drive. I cant get to it at all. Is there any other ways to get to the drive and get my info off of it?

Oh and merry late xmas

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Seagate?! I'm shocked.

Might I suggest a RAID array...?

Master = New 400gig Seagate Fresh install of Windows XP PRO
Cable Select = dying 400gig Seagate with older install of Windows XP Pro
I have a raid controler built into my motherboard but i dont know how to set it up properly. I fear if i screw with it now i might mess something up.

this is how i was told to set up the two so that i can transfer information from one to the other. But when windows loads, if it does. Or it will try and boot from the dying HDD. it will just either show the dead drive and you cant acess it or just wont show it at all. When i'm booted into windows with my new drive.

ok i'm going to assume that they're on the same bus. can you force the bad drive to slave or put them on different buses (keep the bad drive slave on the secondary bus, good drive master on primary bus)? i would start with that. once it's consistently booting off the good drive, then check whether it consistently mounts the bad drive or not. if it's not able to mount the drive or it mounts but can't read off the drive (hangs on getting root directory list), it's going to be pretty difficult to get your data off.

Well i've been trying what you suggested fart about putting one drive on one IDE and the other on the main channel. And well it recognizes it while booting but once i get to windows its gone. So its a lost cause i guess.

So many memories lost...
